Description
The sequel only a few people asked for!

This mod is meant for use within Zeus, 3DEN (music can be played via triggers), and Warlords. Play any track you like at any time! This pack contains THOUSANDS of musical pieces and songs painstakingly curated and compiled over several months by myself and several of my friends. Taste is subjective, but surely you'll find something you like in here.

I personally find that music can elevate missions to another level when used properly. Making potentially the most mundane and routine of missions feel impactful and helps to foster those special moments people will talk and reminisce about for years down the line.

Compared to the previous music pack, this one is now organized by situational categories rather than the source material. Each category has multiple subcategories divided into volumes, which contain +/- 20 tracks each, each individual track is tagged with descriptive words. In theory it is meant to help you pick music to play at a moment's notice without having to know what the music is exactly and also helps you from having to scroll through large lists of music when you open a category to look inside.

There are 3 main categories representative of the three most common situations you'll find you and your players in, as well as two supplemental categories:

Intro/Outro: As the name suggests, these tracks are good for use at the start and end of missions. Skilled mission makers may try their hand at timing events with the music.

-Subcategories with examples: Anxious (starting a mission with uncertainty, low intel, against a superior foe), Epic (heroic entrances, turning the tide in your favor, glorious victory), Sad (defeat, loss, hopeless forecasts), Theme (impactful moments, recurring music, motifs)

Ambient: The biggest of the main three categories. Music to fill empty space and create an atmosphere. Everything from ominous droning to happy dance music. Nothing meant to take the spotlight, but there is a lot of downtime in ArmA. These tracks will help you keep things lively.

-Subcategories with examples: Anxious (calm before the storm, caution, on edge), Calm (reprieves, relaxed and peaceful moments, quiet victory), Happy (dancing, joy, confidence), Horror (fear & terror, feeling like you are being watched), Sad (witnessing tragedy, loss, losing hope)

Combat: The most important category aside from ambience. These tracks are for when the action kicks off. Rounds are flying, people are dying.

-Subcategories with examples: Ambient (background, understated, repetitive), Anxious (slow firefights, sweeping towns, manhunts), Desperate (when it hits the fan, races against time, last stands), Energetic (upbeat, chaotic firefights, high tempo), Epic (heroic counterattacks, stalwart defenses, reinforcements have arrived, routing the enemy), Horror (overwhelming force, fighting a losing battle, monstrous & supernatural enemies)

Vocal: There are other categories dedicated to songs with lyrics/vocals as well. Electronic, Metal, Pop, Punk, Rap, Rock, & Slow Jams. These are pretty versatile, but lean more toward use in combat or intro/outro situations.

SFX: Alongside the music, there are also placeable sound effects (useable in Zeus, and 3DEN via triggers). The types of SFX vary from distant battle ambience to radio chatter, radio music, soldiers in conversation, and environmental ambience. Some memes as well for your inevitable fustercluck.

I hope you enjoy, and may your missions be full of color and immersion!

Sorry for the late response. I'm actually working on an update for the mod as we speak. Adding some new stuff. Maybe I could make a google sheet for such purposes. Otherwise you could always try using the Shazam app, though I know that may not be very reliable for stuff from Video Game OSTs. If you have a question for something specific I could also just tell you lol

Is there a way we can get a list of what each song is called and where/who it's from?

Hey Lykaia so we ended up reinstalling all our mods on streamline and reinstalling it on my end so it's now working fine sorry for the comments I hadn't checked our file manager properly which showed the issue were absolutely loving having the ambient sound now

If the files are all installed correctly and the music pack is listed as "@ROMP 2.0 - The Rubble Official Music Pack;" inside the command line, I'm not really sure what the problem could be. It could be a mod conflict if you have other mods that add sounds or music.

Hmm ok so just gave it another test locally and now it's working after loading zeus through the editor but the server still isn't getting Audio though again it is picking up all the files there

My first guess is to double-check your server's command line and that it matches with what you have installed. Other than that I'm not really sure why it wouldn't be working. When placing the audio modules in the world, some sounds only have a limited radius where you can hear them so that could be part of it as well.

Heya Lykaia we have an issue for our server where when we use an audio module in Zeus you can hear the audio but when placing it nothing plays this is both on our unit server and on my own in SP Zeus was wondering if you have any suggestions.

I actually will be working on an update to the mod soon enough here, probably releasing within a month or so. So far no major plans to add many new categories but certainly going to expand upon what already exists. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!
