In the end I tweaked some values in blocks.lua and now I'm more pleased with ship's performance and block-cost-balance. If you are interested, I can send you my version of blocks' settings.
Point 3 on the other hang left me confused. You see, only when this bugged(?) state activates, I get somewhere close to "spamming drones until your computer begs for mercy" . So I'm curious could it be that this state is indeed intended gameplay for the faction and what I see as "normal" state is actually bugged for me?
1) Queen cell and Defender cell looks to me overpriced and/or underperforming. Both have quite long recharge time and usually don't do much before destroyed by enemies.
2) Swarmer cells and variations are cheap and fast-growing. But to me looks like they very often fly to a target and then hesitate to shoot it. Not sure if it is mod's issue or deep in-game drone AI issue.
3) I also encountered strange bug and managed to reproduce it few times. Build a ship -> save, leave editor, and try to shoot enemies -> after some time go to the editor and close it without changing anything and saving -> suddenly drones recharge nearly twice quicker and take less energy for recharging. Also swarmers' AI seemingly improve after that and they more willingly shoot my targets. Newer encountered something similar with other factions/mods. This state remains until new changes to the ship are done, or until it destroyed.
