As the problem of piracy becomes more and more of a concern beneath the cold surface of the Moon, new wretched abominations raise their guns and headlights upwards, ready to scratch and tear against the glorious hulls of our mighty fleet.
Beware, brothers and sisters. For the Abyss forgives no one.
Coalition stands.

Let them hear you Screech

Ahoy, outpost rat. Flock`s engineers have fashioned a nice new birdie for you, another Screecher. Smartpants welded together two shuttles and called that a sub. Ha!
It may not look as polished as these pumpered soldier`s, but trust me, the boss told that with enough dedication and savvy even the least impressive nestling can become a fearsome vulture. It should be easy to rebuild it as you wish, and, even now, I see a few places where you can stick out a gun or two.
Congrats on your new wings. Let's hope you don't crash that trashcan immediately.
And since I'm feeling genorous, let's have a tour, shall we?

Fast and Furious

The Screechers are many. This one is yours. I think engies said that the top part comes from Selkie? Something like that.
Anyway, we had to improvise, especially with storage space, so don't overreact when you see how fun it is. The boys would figure it out soon enough, it's not like they have any choice.
This trashcan is fast. Really fast. Smartpants took an engine from a much bigger sub, overlocked it and even then thought it wasn't enough. So I hope you do enjoy your reactor and engine potentially being one thing. Also, you already saw this lot of smaller motors, right? We call them auxes. Auxilla-iergh engines. They are waterproof, by the way.
The big button on your monitor tells you everything you need to know about them. I warn you, though, since I don't want to search for your thrice-broken body through the wreck.
It's really hard to control.
Ah, but don't worry. Auxes are fed by that capacitor near your chair, so the whole system won't just start burning immediately. It would be fun, though, but again. Searching for your body, ehh.

All Guns Blazing

Let me then give you a few tips and tricks.
First of all, it eats up fuel pretty fast for such a small birdie. You would like to do something with it.
Secondly, with your first cannon you can pretty much shoot most of the things as long as they are in front of you or over you. May even try to clear your windows. Still, there are many nooks and crannies some pests can crawl into, so if that happens, go full speed negative 45°, after a few seconds - full speed 180°, then suddenly go positive 135° a-and after that they should be right in front of you. If they claw somewhere in the back, try turning auxes on and off for a few seconds.
Ah, talking about movement. Remember the auxes? Ramming is a thing. And although it will probably turn you into a wreck - it will also turn you into a giant projectile. Really, really fast projectile. And you know, it's not that hard to repair a hatchling this small, compared to the damage it can do. If you are alive after the impact, that is.
Before attempting to ram, you really want to line up correctly. If the ship gets detected, it's probably over, as vertical movement is not as reliable. Still, it's pretty effective, even against smaller beasts. But don't even try to ram anything bigger than a bonetresher.
Press the button. You just need to learn when to stop. Thankfully, autopilot reliably can stop you one out of two times before disaster.
Yeah, we also had to find room for storage, so we put some crates into the ballast. Hope nothing grows here before you can grab your weapons to fight it.

I also heard some rumbling in the walls. I think there might be hollow places inside. Let's hope your boys don't hide anything dangerous up here.

**READ THIS**
Yeah, thanks. Basically, it's my first sub and, as you can see, I took a little bit avant-garde approach to it while learning the editor. I hope you would like how it turned out, but I can't deny that there are some issues
Human AI on this ship is just straight up not having a good time since the last update, sometimes randomly opening hattches or door leading into the improvised airlock while it's flooded or getting stuck in the door leading from the reactor room to the central ladder. idk what causes it, and probably can't fix it, sorry
If you find anything else, comment it, I would try to look into it :p

Out-Of-Character description:
Screecher is a piratesque, fast and edgy sub for bad boy captains.
Her main feature is a massive array of auxillary engines, connected to a single button. This, coupled with its overclocked main engine/reactor allows the abominations to basically turn itself into a giant projectile.

Needless to say, I had a lot of fun working on it and playing with it. It's dumb and janky, but it's also supposed to be like this.
Screecher is, honestly, a pretty balanced sub that in, my experience, excels in pirate hunting and missions that would normally require you to either go outside or send a drone.

It's optimal for a crew of three people, but, honestly, i manned it by myself while also repairing it from literal nothing. It's hard to control, but you get used to it.

Also! Feel free to change the lighting, please. Orange is here for the mix between wrecked industrial vibe and visibility. I wanted it to feel aggressive, but not as hard on the eyes as red.

I decided to leave central passage empty because it looked uncool :p
Feel free to edit and change it as you wish, if you find it unnecessarily inconvenient. It's kinda part of the vibe, I think. The general awkwardness at some places and being easy to customize.
There is no automation or hard to understand systems, even with its gimmick, partially for this reason

It would appear they are there, I retract my statement. Probably shouldn't have emergency tools behind two layers of storage on a ship which can be bricked within mere seconds of a fight if left unfixed though from an ease of use perspective at the very least. There's a decent enough amount of space remaining in the central passage where if the sprite scale is slightly reduced: a supply cabinet can be placed with Welders inside.

PunisherLex, could you elaborate? I thought welding tools were somewhere on the left shelf in the ballast

Looks neat, doesn't spawn with a sub-side welder though.
