Goblin Lord Class Mod Classic (V1.3)

Description
A mod I decided to make that allows players to play as the Goblin Lord, a cunning and powerful goblin who led his army through a mysterious portal into the realm of Elysium.

As of 1/7/2025 this mod is no longer going to be updated.

This mod adds a new class themed around goblins that works independently from the hidden Goblin King class, featuring a recruitment and upgrade system similar to the Dwarves, as well as new units and rituals.

Features

Includes over 55 new units and locations with new sprites

- Goblin Nobility
> Goblin Earls (act as the commanders of the Goblin Lord's armies, can be upgraded to elemental Earls)

> small, medium, and large portals

> Goblin assassin (trains up to 5 shinobi at a time from standard goblins)

- Water Elemental Goblin troops
> (T1) Sea Dog lancers and skirmishers

The Goblin Lord arrived to Elysium through a mysterious portal, and can construct goblin portals at areas with populations greater than or equal to a hamlet. Goblin portals come in 3 different sizes, and are a bit of an investment, but can be a great source of troops throughout a campaign. Additionally goblin portals can be linked together to allow for instant travel to anywhere a goblin portal has been built.

Goblin Apprentices can take on many paths of magic mastery, with abilities and powers similar to the Warlocks, having the power to imbue upgraded troops into powerful elemental ones, as well as bless Goblin Earls with their own elemental powers.

The Goblin Lord starts with the following locations;

Bugs

> When an Apprentice casts an ascendance ritual while more than one apprentice is on the same tile, the wrong unit gets upgraded and both the caster and recipient break. (Fixed in V1.2, bug does not appear to happen with Goblin Elementalists)

> Goblin Apprentices that are recruited lack any spells to use in combat (Fixed in V1.1)

@tarrand54 sorry for the slow response to your question.

So far the way I have the goblin demonologist working is that they sacrifice goblins to summon demons. Additonally, the goblin demonologist can sacrifice batches of 60 goblins to create "goblin bloodsworns" who have regen and a dark blessing. there is also a ritual that consumes goblins that enhances the dark bless effect for the goblin demonologist and it's troops.

Currently do to a drive death on my pc and stuff it might take a while to make the undead or necromancer troops if I ever get around to it, although I do have a goblin enchanter mostly ready, along with hybrid troops for certain troop types.

@Stain so after looking into the problem with the apprentices, it was an error that happens when you attempt to recruit a mage commander from regular troops, in the upcoming update I have planed, that will be fixed. If you have any recommendations about the balancing of the mod, could you place them into Bugs and Balance.

played it a bit i think as it sits the gold requirements are 2 high you can make alot of goblin freespawn that get killed but to upgrade them is expensive, i think hedgemages should come with at least a spell so you dont need to spend more gold there currently the only way to compete is to spam assasins and it takes like 1000 gold to get your first one and then dont run into anyone with poison resist lol(i know its iteration 1 but thats my current thoughts)
