Alaska Railroad GP38-2 Pair ~ 2001 and 2002

Description
(Requires ABStudios' American Freight Expansion pack).
(These have been upgraded to use AB's model; the originals used Space's old GP38-2 model. My Alaska Railroad SD70MACs have been reuploaded in their own stand-alone pack).

The Alaska Railroad is an isolated Class 2 railway in the US state of Alaska, running from Fairbanks to Seward via Anchorage. There’s also the branch line from Portage to Whittier. Trains first started running in Alaska in 1914.

2001 and 2002 ~ the engines featured in this pack ~ are two of the eight EMD GP38-2 locomotives operated by the Alaska Railroad. They were built in 1977 and 1978 respectively, originally for the Butte, Anaconda & Pacific Railway in Montana. In the mid-1980s the two engines were sold to the Alaska Railroad, where they remain in active service today.
