Description
Welcome to OBO, the Overall Balance Overhaul, pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument).

OBO is itself split up into many smaller mods to make finding, using, mixing and matching easier for users, and to make updating them easier on my end. Please read the main collection page for more info, as this description will only cover this submod specifically.

This is the Pistol rebalance mod, which turns your poopy little peashooter into a reliable all-range fodder eliminator.

RATIONALE:
So as I said in the main collection page, I hate the idea of a weapon becoming obsolete and completely unused, and no weapon exemplifies that better than the SOP38 Pistol (except possibly the Knife). I don't need to waste words here, we all know the pistol sucked, and this mod is here to fix that.

What was once a low-damage, low-DPS, low-capacity, but accurate sidearm has been transformed. Taking inspiration from the Desert Eagle the Pistol was modeled after, it's gotten a moderate damage boost that allows it to oneshot fodder enemies, a small capacity boost, and several other changes that accentuate its role. It's accurate and good for cleaning up slow trickles of weak enemies at all ranges, but its chief drawback is DPS. A rather significant change is I've utilized the spread feature of SS4 a little better, where the first shot will be accurate, but subsequent shots will bring the weapon to its "main" spread. You will see me doing something similar to other weapons too. I also tossed in a zoom increase that makes aiming actually useful for popping distant baddies.
