I wanted a handheld status monitor that combined the functionality of the two handheld status monitors in the game. So here it is.

I am planning on updating for balance and new features. I have an idea to make it modular with the handheld devices, so you could slot them into this device like a battery to enable that device's functionality. This would also be a cool addition to the mod in the future if they added more kinds of status monitors, such as a crew health monitor (idea for a new mod?) and only being able to have i.e 2 slots in the modular monitor. So that may be coming.

Will most likely post an alternate version of this that requires a battery. I like the idea of needing to manage your power and batteries and found it odd that the handheld status monitors didn't require batteries already.

Can currently be crafted in the fabricator with the Handheld Status and Electrical Monitors as well as an FPGA Circuit, with required 35 electrical skill.

Bug is now fixed. Now all the different monitors will be blank when outside of the sub

Nice i didn't even know the vanilla items crash the game too. I fucking love how u take it in ur own hands instead of waiting for the devs to fix their issues first :steamthis::steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

Looked into the tablet crashing the game when used outside of the sub. Found out that both the handheld devices in the base game cause the same crash. Seems to be a bug within the base game derived from the "minimap" module that these devices use.

At this point I'm fixing a base game bug which due to the nature of xml modding is fairly challenging. I'll look into it and post a bug report to the devs. In the meantime I'll look into making a fix.

I just used it outside the Sub and it crashed my game. U may want to check that out. Otherwise a Great mod :steamthumbsup:
