This mod is my attempt at making replayability of a saved game after death feasible by granting a number of free points after so many in-game days because the biggest problem is you get to Day 90, no power or water and you run into some bad luck. You are now going to lose a character with a signficant amount of skills and equipment with nothing to show for it unless you can acquire your old base. I also found it odd that you should create a brand new character that has somehow survived for X days without having gained any skills, makes no sense.

Utilizing Mod Options you can customize the amount of days passed and the number of points gained (default is for every 2 days you receive 1 free character point).

I highly recommend coupling this mod with other trait modifications such as More Traits.

Verified that it works with pre-existing games.

This mod only grants the free trait points when you are making your character after your death, you can no longer go back into a save where you died and receive the bonus points.

The game time works differently in Build 41 MP, I have adjusted the program to work with this new change. It will work with existing saves, but unfortunately you will lose the days gained prior to the update of this mod on your server. However, moving forward it will calculate things as expected.

Server owners can now configure the following options, meaning that local clients will have to obey the rules:
Minimum Days Survived - This determines how many days must be survived for any new character on existing account before they gain access to the free points
Interval of Days To Add Free Points - This determines how many days must have passed in game before free points are added
Number of Points to Add - This determines the number of points to add based on the interval of days provided
Death Resets - This essentially creates a penalty upon death to remove any free additional trait points

Currently, there is a small exploit that allows users to continuously get free points for every character they just have to change their username, I recommend blacklisting your server and only allowing those you invite in. Blacklisting will fix the issue mentioned.
