Born in Mexico, Valencia was the daughter of a famous wrestling couple, a luchador and luchadora who were widely loved and recognized as legends in Mexico, meaning that from day one, wrestling was in her blood. As a child, she would go to wrestling shows and watch her parents, learning from her fathers matches with tough heels and indomitable monsters, seeing the strength and passion he displayed. And at the same time, she watched her mother wrestle as well, watching how she held the crowd in the palm of her hand, endeared them to her, and always showed beauty and grace in everything she did. She was taken with the whole spectacle, and by the time she was in her younger teen years, she was already training in the ring, learning with her parents about how to wrestle, picking up quite quickly, due to the wrestling heritage she possessed, the sport literally being in her blood. Thanks to the training from her parents, Valencia was competing with other amateur pro wrestlers as soon as she was in high school, making strides in the wrestling world and making her way through school (though it should be noted, she was never a very good student). Still, there was one thing that continued to pick at her thoughts, keeping her occupied in thinking about it no matter the time or day. She had faced plenty of foes in Mexico, but as tough and gritty as they were, she longed to explore the world of wrestling outside her own home. So when she finally hit 18 years of age and graduated from high school, she would choose not to go to college, instead taking the money she had earned from the shows she had done so far, wish her parents goodbye and tell them she loved them, and depart! But before she could leave, her father had just one gift for her. A mask, that he had made himself for her, made to symbolize the strong, fierce, and respected woman she had become. The mask... of a dragon.

With teary eyes and a fond farewell, Valencia soon departed, heading off to begin her journey. Far and wide she traveled, through many different countries and cities, wrestling each time for money, word of her reputation soon spreading. She met friend and foe alike, forged bonds along the way, had soaring wins and crushing defeats. But time after time, she learned, and got better, beginning to become a legend to the fans that she graced with her presence. The Golden Dragon begin to win, and kept winning, showing the world that she was one of the best.

Until... One day, in a heated match with a fierce rival, Valencia suffered a catastrophic injury, her leg giving out, bone and muscle alike damaged, torn, and broken beyond belief. Valencia was heartbroken that her wrestling career seemingly had been ended by this awful injury at only 30 years of age. Returning home, Valencia's parents assured her that she had nothing to be sad about, as she had done all she could. Her legacy was set in stone already, so she wouldn't need to fret. But for the Golden Dragon, being content with stopping here was the same as resigning herself to failure. She began physical therapy for her leg, unsure of if she could ever even walk properly on it again. But her dreams of creating a legacy that would never be topped pushed her onwards. Soon enough, she was able to walk normally, her leg recovering more than it was ever thought to be capable of. And walking turned to running. And running turned to sprinting. And eventually, after five long years... Valencia was back again.
