GunLights Remade (Brighter version)

-

Not more compatible with V 1.0

These weapons light mods go partially no longer, some weapons do not work, and others like me do not see 2 new recipes where you can build the machine pistol and the police shotgun.

Since almost all weapons have received places for a flashlight, only some weapons like the standard revolver not, and few others that you can use anyway bad in the water.

Nevermind, I made it myself. It wasn't too difficult. Thanks again for this mod!

I absolutely love this mod.

If possible, I would love to see Gunlights added to welding tools and plasma cutters.

Also, and probably out-of-scope for this mod, but an option to make the underwater sled and cargo sleds' lights always-on, and/or give them an always-on ambient light that self-illuminates the sled, would be just fab.

And/or something to brighten up the lights on the diving suits.

However....you need a brand new save file for this....so it won't work on my old one which you never put a disclaimer up on it... It seems once you use either the original or your mod, it's permanently baked into the save file and switching between them don't work.

So if you started your save file with the original mod, your mod's longer throw won't work afterwards. If you started your save file with your mod, the original mod's less throw won't work afterwards.

Hmmm, your screenshots tell me all you've done is increase the throw of the flashlight, not the brightness which is completely different as I was expecting brighter light not longer thrower.

...

Ok, after spending about 15 minutes working this out it works!

On my screenshots it appears you have indeed increased the brightness slightly and gave it a longer throw as well. So you should probably rename the mod title....

@BG Maybe i've changed something and haven't updated my mod after, so i've updated it right now. Please confirm that after update everything works fine for you.

I actually made a test for light levels of revolver light with my mod and original. You can see it on screenshots:

@BG Yeah, i've tested this ingame with SMG and Shotguns. It was working back then.
I've uploaded it to workshop to make life easier for my local community and I see no reason why I shouldn't have done this.

If you need even more brightness with revolvers you can easily modify parameters in my or original mod. You can look at screenshot below, to find where you should look for the corresponding lines of code :captainclown:

*should* be but that's not what I see ingame....did you bother to also test ingame as well to see it working or just edited some values and thought "That should do it", upload it to workshop and then forget about it coz job done?
