Hardcore Traps
With this mod, dungeon traps will instakill you.


This mod adds a status effect to all objects with "touchDamage", "beamDamage", "spikeDamage" and trap-related projectiles that will set your max health to 0; killing you instantly. The effect disappears after your death so you won't be stuck in an infinite death loop.

thorn plants count as traps and instant kill you :/

The way I have the status effect set up doesn't actually take your health, it simply sets your max health to 0, instantly killing you. Since you goals are unclear, i would recommend you look in your game install folder (right-click game in steam -> manage -> browse local files). There is a folder called doc and within it a folder called Lua. The file called "statuscontroller.md" should contain information regarding the Lua functions that can affect the stat and resources like health or energy of a player (or any entity for that matter).

Wow didn't realise how much I wanted this until I found it! When you get some HP and a shield you can ignore so many traps, this will make things more exciting for sure, thanks!

@FishLord, the actual effect is supposed to last for 1 second. All status effects are removed on death so i'm not sure that's really possible. though i could make a generic script to track this...

This has good shitpost potential though

Then you make a mod called Hardcorerer Traps that make the effect last for a minute
