I actually have an automated version up now, it's not using the 'inscryption' ip and is a little different to the game but the battling is automated
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2688267966
in that one, blood is replaced with 'Hearts' - I have a variant rule where hearts cards may be played n the space of the last card that was sacc'd but diamond cards (bones) cannot
The backline is where you assemble your critters for battle.
The frontline is where the battling actually takes place.
I like this idea a lot because it allows player to strategize before a creature gets played.
HOWEVER, the concept of sacrificing is what has me confused - if you sacrifice a creature from the frontline, then do you play the creature on the frontline, or on the backline? And can sacrifices be made on the backline as well?
I'm working on an automated on called Conscryption - you can find the discord here
