The Qunari Civilization [BNW]

In 1 collection by Gunnaka
Dragon Age Civilizations

Description
Adds the Qunari of the Dragon Age universe as a playable civilization under the rule of The Arishok.

UA: Every city conquered will have all the followers of the majority religion converted to the religion created by the Qunari (if applicable)
UU: Dreadnought - A frigate replacement which takes a bit longer to build, but is both more powerful and more sturdy, due to a free Cover I promotion.
UB: Labour Camp - Courthouse replacement that is available from the mining technology. Provides 2 production and has all the same functions of courthouse.

The Qunari are a race from the Dragon Age universe who first arrived in Thedas 300 years ago in their large dreadnought ships, and have terrorized the lands ever since. The Qunari are much larger than humans, and are known for their gray skin and large horns. The Qunari aim to unite the people of Thedas under their religion, The Qun, and will stop and nothing to do so.

The Qunari are a civilization specialized for religious domination. They are able to conquer from an early stage due to their labour camps, which also provide an nice production boost to newly conquered cities in the early game. Their UA will allow you to easily spread your religion as you conquer distant lands, so you can reap all the benefits right away. Finally their dreadnought ship is much more powerful than any other boat of the era, and lets you absolutely control the sea during the Renaissance era.

I will be making the following civilizations, and perhaps more. If you have any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.
The Civilizations: (In no particular order)

The Darkspawn (Done)
Ferelden
Orlais
The Free Marches
The Tevinter Imperium
The Dwarves
The Dalish
The Qunari (Done)

If you run into any of the problems let me know.

I like the idea but the Qunari are kind of weak as a civ. Maybe they should get more faith or combat bonuses

Maybe you should create an inquisition, maybe one for redcliffe with bann teagan and king Alistair for Fereldan

Are you still working on these at all? Would love to see more Dragon Age Civs in the game!

the thing is, qunari is so much more than warfare and religious zealotry. if the parallel is to be drawn to medieval islam, there has to be flourishing culture within the heartland, where the artisans and craftsmen reside.

Havent played it yet, but it looks really good. I'm glad you didn't add an over powered or over complicated UAs and UUs like many mod authors tend to do.

A while. It's hard to say, might be longer than normal for mods, because I'm just kind of doing this as a side thing, and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing half the time, so takes a while to figure stuff out.
