Description
- Sixteen scenarios show alternatives
- The effect of Hitler's "stand fast" order
- How much the Soviets gambled

Turning Point is a grand tactical (division/corps) game with hexes equal to 16 km. Each game turn represents two days. The game system is similar to Kursk and France '40, but it has been refined and modified to reflect the pecularities of the situation. Soviet cavalry, for example, can move in the Motorized Movement Phase. An optional rule forcing the German units to hold their positions simulates the disastrous effect of Hitler's insistence that "Where a German soldier stands he will not retreat." But, if the Germans do conduct a fighting withdrawal, Turning Point reveals the risk the Soviets accepted to achieve the destruction of the Sixth Army.

Dear Holden, I have forgotten about this one. All counters are dead in this one, sorry.

I didn't scan them, all SPI games I have uploaded to TTS come from sources I found at https://www.simpubs.org/spi-games/

Thanks for the mod! Great work as always! A tip regarding the Moire patterns (dots in this case) on some of the counters. I had the same effect when scanning some of my assets for mods. The trick I learned online to eliminate or greatly reduce the Moire effect: scan the item at a different angle (typically shift 45 deg. In other words, instead of scanning the object in its normal orientation (top of counter pointing at the top of the scanner, rotate the object 45 deg). You could also try 90 deg, but that may not help. I then will take that counter into Gimp and rotate the object back into its proper orientation before importing into TTS.
