Description
Will continue to upgrade throughout future SE updates

Updated July 25 - Extensive upgrades and changes after testing in survival.

This is the Arlos, a large grid dropship. It is specifically used to drop in 1 or 2 of my Aiorel Rovers. Can be refitted to drop in modular bases or temporary bases on planets. Typically managed by a 2-4 person team.

I typically play with a Shield mod installed, if not than unfortunately windows are destroyed very quickly. Especially when this control room is surrounded by windows.

For my play through....my engineer (Katarina) was part of a survey group heading to a newly discovered solar system with an Earth like planet. The trip required the crew to go into stasis pods for the trip. Katarina wakes up to find that not only is the ship under attack by unknown ships, but the crew is no longer on board. This flight controls are barely responding. Once the ship entered the atmosphere...the attackers broke off. Guess they figured it was done for. Katarina sees that the drop base is still attached and intact. She fights the ship to get some what straight and released the base. With the base released...some control returns. She manages to "land" about a kilometer from the base. The ship is unable to fly and requires extensive repairs. Looks like she is going to be there a while before she can set off to find out what happened to her crew mates.

Love this ship along with its drop base. I didn't want to use the vanilla respawn pods or rovers. For my PvE survival....I dropped in the drop base and this ship in space. Then on the drop base; I took out the assembler and refinery and closed off the back to make it air tight.

@Beragon No worries, I like having the feedback from someone being able to directly mess with my builds in survival. I only have so much time to get real testing in. I just updated the blueprint with a bunch of changes about 2 hours ago. I agree with the less hydro thrust use in zero G, I changed two hydro downward thrusts to large Atmos and added quite a bit more batteries and tried moving the jumpdrives farther away from the connector to avoid damage. I will continue messing with things the next day or so, including adding Ions downward for zero G to avoid the abrupt thrust from the downward large hydros.

To save hydrogen outside atmosphere, you can have a setup with the main lift thrusters shut down, that save a lot. In zero G flight on long haul I just use ion. Atmo flight Is always burning a lot of hydrogen. By the way, there is only one oxygen tank which is a bit light. I can post later the modified blueprint if you are interested to see the mod I made.

@Beragon Hey, all good feedback, the issue with many builds is they get limited survival testing. I will have a look at the battery capacity. The thrusters wont be changed because not having downward hydrogen thrust helps in saving hydrogen when possible.

I had issues with the Jumpdrive exploding on another build and I think in the last couple updates they lowered the durability of jump drives because they explode on minimal touches now. So I will try adjusting things to fix that issue.

I will also have a look at conveyors but obviously it should all be connected up so Ill check it.

HI, really cool design, love it.

Here a few constructive criticism : Conveyors system is not complete, seem that the front and rear system are not connected (survival kit position), half the cargo can't be managed. I don't know if this is intentional.

In term of preference, It's a personal one but I avoid ship with propulsion system with incomplete thrust in one direction per type. Hydrogen has no downward thrust and the ion no upward thrusts. It's seem menial but the power supply is limited on this ship and after a jump, there is no enough for the ion thrusters to active. Easy fix however.
Power supply is on the low side, either another reactors or additional batteries are needed.
For the drop base, I had to modify the conveyor system to extend it by one block, put a camera and mag plate to avoid exploding things when trying to pick it up and no struggle. Personal things but I tried a few time in creative and ended half the time by losing a jump drive.

Not a problem, love your builds. Wish those two were scripts. The power charts are beautiful and simple for power readouts.

Power chart and Solar map are mods, not scripts
