Description
This livery depicts ARR 1512, an FP7 of the Alaska Railroad. This locomotive was painted in a special livery for the United States Bicentennial, as was ARR 1510 (another FP7). The original livery was altered somewhat when the locomotives received the double-headlight installation sometime around 1978, with minor changes to the nose to accommodate the second light. Additionally, the emblems originally present on the sides of the locomotives (a Liberty Bell on the right side, and a fife and drum corp on the left side) were removed by the early 1980s. As such, these have been omitted here, and the locomotive is depicted as it appeared until it was retired from Alaskan service.

ARR 1510 and 1512 still operate together, having served since 1996 on the historic Verde Canyon Railroad in Arizona. They still retain their Alaska numbers, and are two of only 18 FP7s in existence in the United States today.

The bicentennial livery includes 25 stars on each side of the locomotive, representing the 50 states of the United States of America. Additionally, the locomotives displayed the logo of the US Department of Transportation on the nose.

I've made a few changes to the livery to better fit the Rolling Line F7 model, rather than the slightly longer FP7. Perhaps most noticeably, the spacing of the stars has been adjusted somewhat, with only one star forward of the front steps and four behind the rear steps, instead of two forward and three aft.

These locomotives work well with The Trainspotter From Tauranga's Alaska Railroad coaches, linked below.

everything requires everything how do you expect people to download the train when the train needs an item and that item needs more items and those items need the train . . . HOW!

I honestly had a mind-blank and thought that was the UAC Turbotrain.
