Ragnarok Online High Wizard Class

Description
Ragnarok Online High Wizard:
The Mage and the Wizard have been able to tap into mystical and elemental magic but the real power is now fully realized in the spells mastered by the High Wizard. Only a fool would dare challenge the awesome might of a High Wizard's power head on!

All abilities inspired from the MMO game Ragnarok Online!


Active abilities:
  • Heaven's Drive
      - Razor-edged rocks arise from the ground to eviscerate foes.

  • Firewall
      - Pillars of flames erupt in the shape of a wall, blocking enemy movement.

  • Jupitel Thunder
      - Lightning bursts from the High Wizard's hands knocking all enemies back.

  • Stormgust
      - A devastating blizzard manifests on the target area, freezing all enemies solid.

Passive abilities:
  • Soulstrike
      - Bolts of light shoot out and fly towards enemies.

  • Quagmire
      - A bog drops at your feet impairing all enemies in the area.

  • Amplify Magic
      - After meditating for a short time, your focus increases your spell's damage.

Class titles give mana regen bonus.



Steps to play as the High Wizard:

1. Make a backup of your profile just in case.
2. Click the mod gear and enable the High Wizard mod for that profile
3. Make a new character of any class
4. Talk to Kelly the Modder NPC in town near the mine entrance.
5. Select High Wizard, this will convert your current character to this class.

@puma Thank you for the detailed explanations of these bugs and for giving information surrounding them as well. I added you incase I'm unable to recreate these myself or need more clarification.

Some of these problems are unfortunately extremely difficult to fix, or don't affect anything majorly enough to spend time on them.

For example, problem #4 is a very difficult problem to fix and could result from any number of variables between the different abilities, items, map, etc. Since it is not a game breaking issue, I will most likely not look into it much.

Problem #5 is another non-game-breaking problem. I could look into why this may occur, but it's most likely just some jank with the level switching or some ability reloading the cursor accidentally.

Problems 1-3 I will definitely look into and try to get back to you about their status. I already have some ideas why these may be occurring from your descriptions. Thank you for letting me know!

The first three issues are the ones that will prevent me from continuing on with this class. I like it, and I hope to see these issues addressed.

I put 1 in each skill except Amplify Magic. The upgrades I bought in town before the runs were:
- Resistance II
- Skill Damage IV
- Skill Crit Chance I
- Armor VI
- Weapon VI
- Crit Chance II
- Boots II
- Potion Charges Max
- Healing Draught III
- Mana Draught III
- Invigorating Spices II
- Mana Extractor II

4. Enemies killed by the High Wizard will become unkillable and frozen. They still appear as a red dot on the map, but take no damage. This happened rarely, like 0-1 enemies per floor.
* This is the only thing I didn't take the time to verify without mods. In the modded run, it first happened in Act 3. Act 3 was also where I started being able to cast a lot more and steamroll things in combo. There may be a connection between using more skills and killing a lot more things and therefore the rate of incidence of whatever the factors were increasing.

5. Reticle froze on the floor once. The black circle of the reticle stayed in one spot on the floor one time. I still had the reticle moving around with my aim, but a copy of it just stuck on the floor and eventually vanished after maybe 15-30 seconds.

2. Primary attack doesn't break barrels, crates, or breakable walls. Breakable walls are unbreakable with this class by default. Primary and all skills cannot break secret walls. You need the magic missile, combo nova, or some other form of damage that will hit the walls.

3. Firewall isn't able to do damage on spawners and some bosses like the Watcher when it is stationary. It will spawn right next to them but not do damage because they aren't in the hitbox.

1. Primary attack is unable to be used at times (sometimes a long time: 1-2 minutes), OR only one instance can be active, OR one instance will stay and not disappear for a long while. I first noticed this on Archives (with mods) where I couldn't use primary for about 90 seconds. It happened multiple times per floor throughout the rest of the Forsaken Tower on that run. On the second run (without other mods) I first encountered it on the second cube area. Again, it continued to happen multiple times for the rest of the run. At the point it first happened on the second run, I had the following items:
- Gladiator's Net
- Mail of Thorns
- Cape of Withdrawal
- Blackjack
- Hero Unkown's Frying Pan
- Scroll of Magic Missile Page 2
- Heavy Gauntlets
- Talisman of Decay
- Monster Manual: Undead
- Life Stone
- Shaftlocke Pickaxe
- Spell Book

Hello, thank you for making the class. It's a very interesting one. I encountered several bugs unfortunately.

I did multiple runs. All of them were NG+0. The first run, I obviously didn't know I would encounter issues, so I had all my normal mods enabled in my profile. I cleared this run in multiplayer with my wife. To attempt to verify that it wasn't a conflict with the other mods, I disabled (but did not unsubscribe) all other mods, took no drinks or items, and didn't use the fountain. I did have statues on: Calis 3, Cedric 2, Bolgarth 2. The non-modded runs were all done in Single Player.

For the non-modded runs, I used the teleporter to skip. The first of the non-modded runs, I went all the way to Archives. The rest were short runs to verify specific aspects of the issues again. I verified all but issue #4 without mods.

@LordMeme I've tested the multiplayer functionality before releasing the mod, could you explain what isn't working or what's happening?
