>———————————————<[STORY]>———————————————<

The express mail steamer " Cambridge " was launched on the 19th of December 1899, as a ferry for the Sawyer Channels and to the Donkk Isle.

Her maiden voyage was advertised as the most luxurious way to cross to Donkk, drawing in 152 people, 52 over her designed capacity. Despite this, the voyage went very smoothly departing on the 21st of January 1899, earning the prestige of being the fastest ship in the Sawyer Fishing Village to Donkk.
She would go on to become the primary vessel on this route serving C.S.R. & M.S.C. for several years, until the S.M.S. " Vanderbilt " in 1905.

During her early career, she collided with a smaller ferry at full steam, slicing it in half. The ferry would plunge instantly, killing most of everyone on board, 52 souls. Cambridge was mostly undamaged.

>—————————————<[DESTRUCTION]>—————————————<

On March 9th 1916, sailing through the second worst blizzard to ever hit the Sawyer Isles- though only mildly better than the Blizzard of 1904- she would run aground on a reef at full steam ahead, tearing out her external hull. However, due to heightened safety regulations after the sinking of the S.S. Vienna in 1913, her new double-hull allowed her to survive the impact.

Rescue was immediately organized as distress messages were sent to nearby ports. Among the first to respond, the S.N.S. " Holt " raced to her assistance at 25 knots. The Destroyer would arrive at 02:00 to the ship run completely aground on the rock, battered by the waves.
Holt would anchor far from the rock, maintaining morse communication with the Cambridge. Over the course of the next 2 hours, the weather would improve, allowing the Holt to near the rock and attempt to tie a line to the ship. All attempts at this fail, and inevitably the Holt is forced to retreat to port due to low fuel reserves, leaving the Cambridge alone once again.

A day later, at 16:00, the blizzard is back in full force. The S.N.S. " Holt " has anchored in the lee of a nearby island, protecting itself from the worse of the storm while maintaining proximity to the Cambridge. At 16:30, she receives faint morse message from the Cambridge. " -.-. --- -- . / .- - / --- -. -.-. . .-.-.- / ... .... .. .--. / ..-. --- ..- -. -.. . .-. .. -. --. / --- -. / .-. . . ..-. .-.-.- COME AT ONCE. SHIP FOUNDERING ON REEF. " Immediately raising anchor, the Holt would sail at full steam to the last known position of the Cambridge.

She would find nothing. There was no sign of the ship nor the reef. As the Holt began to turn around and relay messages that the Cambridge was gone, presumably all hands lost, she would herself strike a submerged object (Later discovered to be the side of the Cambridge), tearing out her keel and putting the vessel in grave danger. The Holt would barely survive the trip to the North Harbour.

The S.M.S. " Cambridge " sank with all hands, 224 souls lost. She was well over her capacity at the time. For weeks after the catastrophe, bodies washed up on shores as far away as Donkk, carried by currents.

Her wreck would be located on its side. Her engines and boilers torn out, and the ship broken in two. It is presumed that her bottom collapsed, and she foundered within mere minutes.

>———————————————<[NOTES]>———————————————<

-To start the engine, there is a button to the left of the helm. Use AD to steer and manage the throttle using the E.O.I. to the right of the helm.
-Use Inf. Electricity.
-She's not very stable in rough weather.
-Create a custom mission to spawn the ship in.

No, sorry.
I am afraid I'm far too busy with other things, nor could my expertise successfully build a ship of that scale.

Shes intended to be used with Infinite electricity. The lifeboats only work with it enabled.
