Supported EU4 version: 1.34.3

What is Famana?

Famana is a low fantasy setting based mostly in realism. It began in 2017 as a mapping project, the brainchild of Israeli Creator The Sunset Productions. However, it has since developed a small, niche following which has expanded it into much more.

The world of Famana consists of two large continental landmasses - Antestal, where most of the mod takes place, and Makan. Each continent is dominated by a sentient species - while Humanity thrives on Antestal, they must compete with the Yomtanians - a tall and pale species existing in a few isolated civilizations, as well as the entirety of Makan. Should the two civilisations recontact, it could spell both their end.

The mod begins in 212, an equivalent of classical antiquity.

The largest area is the Gomic Sea, which is reeling from the collapse of the Oppian Empire that dominated its southern coastline, and subsequent rise and fall of Moxon and its Yomtanian armies. New religions such as Lathvy are taking hold, and the region is due for invasion from the proselytizing Fashran Tonxara, a rising state which is overshadowing the old and corrupt Geopyopia in the east.

In the south, the collapse of a technologically advanced Agmagozi Empire left the two paranoid Houses of Tomba and Qamon, each consisting of many city states bound together. Where Tomba has kept their paranoid attitude to outsiders, Qamon has been conquered by the Empire of Dorromas.
Further south, Hasmal is an independent continent dominated by alien-like flora and fauna, and is home to many isolated cultures and advanced warring city states, such as the decadent Vishmans or the seafaring Avzazi.

Q&A

There's a bug!: No worries, you can report it on our Github[github.com].

I don't know what to play!: For a first playthrough, we recommend Stroktur, Fashros or the Crown Kingdom.

Where can I contribute?: Currently, we aren't accepting new contributors, but you can talk to the devs and make suggestions on our Discord[discord.gg].

Do I need to know any lore to play?: No, the mod does not require any prehand lore knowledge.

Regarding the setting: We are aware the setting isn't great. It wasn't made for the mod, and we're mostly trying to work around it. If you have questions about the lore, we would advise against reading the Wiki as it is pretty low-quality. A lot of the lore has been retconned for this mod, so we suggest asking the devs about lore questions on Discord instead.

Are there more updates planned?: Yes! The next update will feature several new mission trees, a new colonization system, lots of bug fixes and much more. We also have plans to update Geopyopia, Agmagoz, Hasmal and even Makan eventually.

Is this mod achievement compatible?: This mod is not compatible with Steam achievements, but there are modded ingame Achievements[github.com] if you are playing on Ironman mode.

when forming fourth Maky kingdom the game gives a province-0 core which makes you have "core lost" event every month for a non existent province which makes continuing with any prestige impossible.
