INTRO

For the case you want to dive into an later campaign date without struggling trought previous versions of the campaign (1890-1930) you can use that easy (cheaty) method!

WARNING:

This will unlock all start dates for the UK and the German Empire between 1890-1940! (i.E. 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930 & 1940)

If you want to achieve the (start-)dates by actually playing the campaign(s) legit leave this guide now!

DISCLAIMER

Editing (save-)files is always on YOUR OWN risk!
Make a backup just for the worst case.

MANUAL

Open Run with WIN+R (Key)
Insert %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Game Labs\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts\

You can also use the explorer to navigate to said directory.
Look for a file called campaign_p.json

If said file does not exist make a new text file and save it as campaign_p.json!
Make sure you selected all file types *.* when saving it, otherwise it will be saved as *.txt file!
Open it with an text-editor
Paste the code into the file & save it!

Start the game and enjoy the new start date(s)

I don't understand why the campaign start dates have been locked by design choice. I published this guide, because i think there are other people thinking the same and might not have the patience to fiddle around with savegames/configs on their own.

it seems the files are now encrypted or something because when i open it in notepad++ it just crashes notepad

For some reason I cant find the file, I've started and finnished a campaign and nothing, any help please?

Problem solved, I forgot my computer was new and I wasn't using notepad++

@ScumFucka i solved it by searching up in your browser text editor and the pasting the code into the editor and then downloading that file and renaming it campaign_p

Is it possible you have disabled seeing file types?
That's a (stupid) default setting of windows.
When you save the file as "campaign_p.json" it only shows you the name of the file i.e. "campaign_p" but hides the actual file type .json

I also have the same problem as canadian goose where when saving it it wont convert so a json file. Any one know how to solve this?

You're a life saver. I cant for the life of me figure out why they locked the campaign dates, I have literally Zero interest in playing the 1890 campaign with how atrocious the RNG is.

after i selected it as All Files and save it, it still says its a Text Doc
