Description

Bug note, bot pathfinding changed in the ea26 beta. Bots WILL NOT WORK on ea25, join the beta branch to fix any errors. A Mac and legacy version are planned.

Requirements

- A working copy of Ravenfield (Beta Branch or EA 26) on Windows
- A computer, the map is optimized to get at least 60 fps on mid-range systems with 60+ bots with the marginal FPS boost added in the beta branch.

Overview

This map is a fictional south-west Asian city located in Afghanistan. The map provides a good mix between CQB and a full scale invasion with large open areas and tight streets with plenty of cover.

The blue team starts with one spawn point, it is the attacking team. As a member of the blue team, you must utilize air and ground forces with the provided vehicles to fight from house to house to stomp out the enemy soldiers.

The red team starts with 4 points in the city, it is the defending team. As a member of the red team, you must destroy incoming attack/transport aircraft and fast moving ground forces.

I am aware of bugged bot path finding for ea25 users due to the path finding update that was added to the beta branch. Please update your game to fix the path finding

Recommendations...

- Game mode: Battle or Point Match
- 60-100 bots
- Adjust the bot slider for a harder or easier battle. The default slider will usually create a narrow win for the player's team.
- For realism, create a config with the blue team as US forces and red as MEC or Insurgent forces.

Tips...

- Use fast-moving, stealthy attack aircraft to avoid being shot down by enemies.
- Check your corners as enemies often attempt to ambush soldiers.
- Always bring a squad with you while fighting in the city, lone wolfs will always get taken out the quickest.

One of the best maps I've ever seen! This map makes the battle full of drama.

At the beginning, as Eagle, I followed fighter planes, helicopters and mechanized troops to quickly break the town's defense lines, killing a lot of living forces.

Just when we immediately broke down the last stronghold and thought that we had a chance to win, Raven unexpectedly occupied the base behind us and destroyed the Eagle's bomber that stopped them. Although the remaining number of Raven is less than half of us at this time, they still pulled back the situation with their own vehicles, making us finally defeated.

Although I lost in the end, I was excited about such a tortuous battle.

@Bob-ario I may have found a fix for that specific issue, I realized I had 2 directional lights instead of one in the map. I'll get a fix out soon!
