Biofoam 2.0

Description
Biofoam canisters are prefilled with an expansion agent and liquid polyethyltriphosphate. The two mix and are exposed to air when biofoam is applied to a wound, immediately producing a foaming reaction. The foam strongly adheres to tissues and simultaneously releases encapsulated medical compounds that advances clotting, disinfects the wound, and eventually numbs pain. After a short duration of time, the foam applied will set and become a semi-rigid, porous mass internally, which forms a hardened skin on regions of the body exposed to air.

The standard OPTRE Biofoam lacked the coagulant, so I've added the effects of TXA to it so that it fits the lore. The time to apply it has been increased from 8 seconds to 12 seconds to balance the significant improvement. It's also possible to overdose on biofoam if you use too much too quickly because the coagulants will turn your blood to sludge and cause cardiac arrest.

Opticon Medigel has had Phenylephrine added to it in addition to its bandaging properties. Phenylephrine will increase blood pressure, decrease heart rate, and slow bleeding.

Coming soon Bone-knitting polymer, and Rumble drugs.

When the mod was made, only the dev version of KAT had the scripts needed. It will work with either version now, just ignore the warning.

Is there any reason that this requires the dev version of KAT over the basic version?

thanks

Just bandages them, lasts as long as QuickClot. Time varies depending on how much you're moving, position you're moving in, etc, just like standard ACE bandages.

does the biofoam stitch the wounds or just close them up and if so for how log do they stay closed?

Not throwing any more since the last OPTRE update, but it was something along the lines of "Delta_Biofoam missing OPTRE_ace_compat.

What error are you seeing? We haven't noticed any.
Tex 21 Sep, 2023 @ 7:59pm
This is throwing an error now that OPTRE has pulled the compats internally.
