Description
"Once planned to be 'The Dream of the Sea', production squabbles turned this submarine into a monster. Billed as the perfect compromise, the Dream was to have something for everyone - high visibility and maneuverability for captains, clear sights and many weapons for security, robust and organized electronics for engineers, the best and sturdiest systems for mechanics, a full medical suite for doctors. However with each satisfied demand came a drawback - easily broken glass in key structural areas, restricted turret fire, energy inefficiency, high cost, and a large and strange hull. The last straw for utopian plans came when the engineer saw the absurd distance between the reactor and junction compartment. The sub instead found use with some industrial miners, during which time it came to be known as 'Muc-Sheilche', or 'The Monster'. After a long wait, the 'Muc-Sheilche' has another chance to be a crew`s Dream vessel as was first intended."

This is my third finished submarine, and the first after a long hiatus. My focus with it was to create a capable starting vessel that this time didn`t far exceed the capacities of the vanilla submarines. It`s complete with two coilguns (room for three), full crafting equipment, a fairly large cargo area, a very vulnerable helm, and a whole lot more. I hope to have learned from my first two submarines by crafting a less OP but equally satisfying experience.

Notably, this version is revised from the prior. Most rooms have been reorganized, wiring is even more refined, with oxygen and water detection set up, and a railgun has been added, along with a whole host of positive changes. This sub is hopefully not OP, but unlike version X, hopefully it has some merit now.

Fun and balanced. Solid amount of storage and decent weapons as well as solid wiring work. It does not, however, feel overpowered, seeing that the helm is a glass dome and therefore, is prone to breaking and the lower ballast requires skillful rag-dolling in order to get inside. :steamthumbsup::os_prophetbot:

I`m incredulous to see this submarine is actually getting some play. Thanks to all who have subscribed, hope you are enjoying it! I`ve been testing/playing it with a few of my friends, some potentially helpful notes: 1. Repairing the pumps/hull of bottom ballast is best done by flooding it fully, then swimming in a suit, or by ragdolling and attempting to crawl around; 2. Make sure to delete the mod folder and un/resubscribe when it has been updated, or Steam may decide not to (plagued many of our attempts); 3. The black room below medbay is great for plants, and also set as the prisoner spawnpoint. and similarly the cargo and crafting contain commoners, with the VIP by the table in oxygen; 4. That screen in medbay isn`t just for show, it is actually a fully functioning screen with 02 and water level readings, along with breaches.
