Description
V-1999 Mk.II, is an upgraded version of the V-1999 Cold War Era Special Deep Diver Submarine with external and internal hulls.

UPDATED for "Hoist The Sails" update: Submarine tier set to 3

Flagship of the entire BENZIN Corp. fleet

Made by Vortokua / Benzin, inspired by Russian Losharik deep diving submarine.

What is new?

Gameplay wise, not much has been changed. An entirely new section added; Living Quarters (This section is mostly for roleplaying purposes) . A new bottom airlock (with moon pool feature) added to make wreck salvaging much more easy. An intruder system added in case of hull breach. Bunch of new cosmetics added to create a more clustered submarine interior look. USE THIS SUBMARINE IF FPS IS NOT A PROBLEM

Featuring Fabricator, Deconstructor, Medical Fabricator, Research Station, Mine Scanner, 4 coilguns, 1 railgun, 7 ballast pumps (for each room) and a double engine system which makes the sub really agile for every direction. It can carry 12 crates, it has 18 bilge pumps for draining flood + 12 duct vents. Designed for campaign, 3-8 people. There is also 4 planters on top of the platform in the medical section, it's not really ideal but better than nothing.


How does the external and internal hull system work?:

-Each section is protected by a regular submarine hull. Sections are filled with air and the area between the walls of the sections and the outer hull is filled with water. This means that the outermost hull of the submarine can protect against Monsters, Gunfire etc. However it is filled with water and it is necessary to wear diving suit+use an airlock to access this area. This downside provides an amazing ability: since the place between outer hull and interior hull is filled with water, taking any kind of damage to the outer hull does not sink the sub. You can kill the monsters while they are chewing the outher hull — if they chew trough, you still have a double layered interior hull! And the hole on the outer hull cannot effect the sub’s performance. In fact, repairing the outer hull is not necessary, since it only plays a shield role.

WARNING: Do not access the filler area (the place between the external hull and internal hull) while submarine is moving, you will get pinned to a wall. Outer hull repairs must be done when stationary (however like said before, outer hull repair is not really necessary, so you dont need to stop the sub everytime the outer hull gets damaged).

For those who wonder about enemy AI's pathfinding: They can in fact find their way in and damage the internal hulls (with the exception of tiger threshers and bone threshers, they do damage the external hull but it seems they cannot damage the internal hull at the moment). UPDATE:
-Did some balancing. Submarine was too overpowered, external hull hp lowered by 40%, internal hull hp lowered by 50%. This makes the submarine much more fun to play rather than just sit in an indestructible vessel. The nerf might seem to much but the submarine still takes bunch of damage before sinking
-Added intruder alert system. All rooms now have a text display that flashes "DANGER" with red light if an intruder breaches through the external hull.
-Now all diving suit lockers in access points are powered and refill oxygen.
-Added text displays that shows the fuel percentage of the reactor to the reactor room and command room.
-Airlock and Docking port tunnels are now labeled to prevent confusion.
-Now secure stell cabinets should be accessible by captain as well.
-Added some crafting items to the fabricator.
-Added some essential medical supplies to the medical section.
-Price of the submarine raised from the default 5,700 to 7,500

The Periscope's configuration hud appears everytime you use them. Blocking the screen, and preventing you from firing in that direction, is there a fix to this?

Npc's seems to get stuck in the living quarters when given order to clean up, they always get stuck in top right corner, it seems they are trying to reach something to put items to.

I somewhat fixed the reactor pathing by moving reactor down to the point where nuclear sign on the reactor "glowing box" is behind the hatch leading to ballast tank hope it helps someone

Bug report: Bots cannot reach reactor when told to power up reactor if they are in any other room that is not the reactor room. Seems like the update messed up way-points and such.
