This is amazing and gave me loads of ideas :)
Thanks.

OK I will try that, thanks! Cool, now I get to start on Europa without the immediate death threat, finally!

@Etsijä the active vent is more than enough to cool down to keep the generator running 100% of the time, without any problems. i wouldn't worry about it. But long term just put the plants in a different room, and don't filter the Co2 into the generator room. the cooling is not a problem.

Thanks for your quick response! I am talking about Europa, actually. You see, as you now run the GFG only a game tick, that already raises the survival base's temp by some 5 degrees. So, I think I'll need to first implement the good old "oxygen pipe network and radiators outside" trick before I can seriously start building my base with the increasing power demand.

My thinking is: as the base is now (the way you built it), the power demand is very low, so the GFG only runs a game tick once in awhile. And the active vent is more than capable of cooling the room back to normal fast. But as you build the base further, the GFG would need to run more often, and maybe the one active vent is not able to cope with the temp increase, killing all the plants.

Am I completely off here?

@Etsijä on the Europa base you can use A LOT of power before it becomes a problem.

But you are talking about Venus? If you are doing GFG base on venus you just need to run a few ACs to cool down the base, like i did in the Vulcan video. And just keep adding ACs when you need more.

With a GFG you only need 1 battery. It is better to run the generator for a short time and often.

Thanks for your ingenious idea and YT video! I'm thinking on starting on Venus, but not with the early game "will I survive" hassle. So basically survival, but without the immediate threat of death.

Now as you set your game up with the GFG, it would have all the power I'll need. My question is, as the power demand increases with expanding my base, what changes would you do to your initial setup so as not to blow up your nice starter base and kill the plants?

With expanding power demand, the GFG would have to run more often, and the room temp would go through the roof quite soon, right? Would setting the base up with a few large batteries be a good start.

BTW great work with all of your very technical videos!
