-----------------------------

Update:
I have now uploaded a SAR Variant of this vehicle. It is linked in the dependencies!
Please check it out!

-----------------------------

This is the LePage XR 2B Attack Helicopter. It's a Twin Rotor design, which allowes for great ease of control and authority. The large cargo area is suitable for all kinds of goods that need transportation, be it soldiers, weapons or other sensitive cargo. For the extra large goods, a rope anchor on the bottom is perfectly suited to carry even heavy loads without too much interference, as it is placed below the CoL.

As armament, she is equiped with a Rotary Autocanon for quick and devestating strikes. Additionally two medium range missiles with Radar Detection allow the chase of incomming threats.
Besides these Pilot controlled offensive measures, there are two side mounted MGs, that will offer support. Even though they are as compact as they are, they offer the simplest controls and allow quick access to easily reload them.

The Twin Turbo Engines with enhanced start-up will allow quick and effective deployment of this Helicopter, even with short notice. Powered by several small motors, she is ready in no time!

Never forget the importance of Remote Controll! As a mandatory feature, you can get yourself out of any pinch by pulling out your remote and flying into position!
Note: The remote frequency is the same as the Radio Frequency that you set in the Cockpit!

Even though this Helicopter has been designed for offensive measurements, it is equiped with basic medical equipment, to ensure that no soldier is lost on the battle fields. Even if you need an additional seat for a wounded soldier, there are enough places for you to take home what is valuable.

A complex audio setup makes this perfect for multiplayer use. Automatic radio transmission when you press your PTT key, seamless communication with your co-pilot and incomming radio, and even the option to turn on your Megaphone and tell the enemy to freeze! You are in control here!

Seamless Multi Seat opperation is an important feature aswell. No matter if you prefer to sit left or right in the cockpit, both seats work the same and you never have to switch a button - hop in and off you go!

Also included is a precise and easy to use Radar map. Pop it up instead of the artificial Horizon and spot your enemies way before they even know what hit them.

In a recent update, the function of an Autopilot has been included. It is a combined Heading-Altitude Autopilot, so when you use it, make sure to have both values set propperly before engaging!
Once activated, the Autopilot will take over control and fly you to your destination, according to your input. Once arrived, the Autopilot will enter a Stand-By mode, where you get back authority while you are in close area of your Waypoint (about 200m). This will allow you to engage remote control - so in theory you can send this craft on it's own to a distant place where another person can land it remotely to take over manually!

Planned features beyond the Challenge:
- Full sliding doors
- retractable MG
- Autopilot (Edit: Autopilot is included now!)

3rd Party Creator Credits:

- Configurable HUD & Artificial Horizon by FN-20

@acethegamer2007: I have not listed this in the description, but one limit of MrNJersey's Challenge was a body limit. With the tilting rotors and side mounted MGs, 2 rockets were the maximum I could add. (And I won't change this version here, as it's my challenge entrie)
But you can of course add unguided missiles or place two more missiles, since Hotkey 5 and 6 are fully available. Since the seat is a full HOTAS seat, you actually have a LOT of free hotkeys! Feel free to edit this vehicle! ;-)
(If you want to upload it, please add Credits)

i love this craft me and my friend has so much fun with this thanks for making my only problem and it is not really a problem is only two rockets they are the only real weapon the pilot has that can do damage other wise great helicopter man.

So for a SAR variant I imagine:
- Removal of weapons (except maybe the side machine guns, call it self-defence)
- Paint job
- Beacon finder
- Stabilized camera with movement + tracking controls
- A double harness for the winch + handles to grab (and remote control ability or a dead mans switch). Maybe even a stretcher winch on the other side? Don't see that too often I forget it exists.
- Replace countermeasures with illumination flares
- Remove some of the handheld weapons and replace with various missing equipment (night vision binocs, handheld flares, maybe a firefighting outfit)
- Extra rope anchors for tie-down/lifting

@Grimper: Thank you for your comment!

I am aware that the view is a bit obstructed, because the nose lifts up a bit in forward flight. I can try to fix that - I wasn't sure yet if I should, as the effect is very limited. But it might help out to improve the view forwards a bit.
Adding more windows is something I can look into. I guess I have not noticed it that much as I usually fly in mouse mode, so periferal view doesn't come into effect :-p

Since you mention a SAR variant, anything you'd like to see specifically?
Having the med-bed, a bunch of first aid kits and the defi did cover my needs in that regard.

Dude I love this design, it's the only heli I've found which is able to fly forward without a crazy nose down angle. That combined with the rock solid stability means walking around the cabin is easy.

Personally I wouldn't bother adding doors, it looks better without them + sitting on the skids is amazing. I've been using it mostly for SAR since it's so reliable. Only flaw I've found is that cockpit visibility isn't great for first-person flying, tho the camera makes up for it.

Please continue to work on this amazing design after the challenge, it has so much potential. Also a SAR variant would be sweet.
