Traditional hanafuda is an exercise in memorization. Each type of card has some notable visual outliers, such as November's lightning card, the animal set's bridge and sake cup, and several cards with animals in the brights set. They're pretty, but it makes learning the game more difficult than It needs to be.

To remedy this, I've designed a set of simple, sleek icons with a common visual theme for each suit and value. Seeds all have yellow icons, brights' icons all have a red circle as part of their design, and the lightning card is marked with its suit icon.



The backdrop is Froman Joe's Void Table.
