King of The Koopas - A Mario RPG Faction Mod

Description



Hey there Conquest of Elysium 5 players. This was mostly just a quick practice mod to help me learn some basics, and do some experimentation to help with my other project.

This adds a new faction consisting ENTIRELY of Mario RPG units that are part of the Koopa Army.
Goombas, Koopas, Paratroopas, Bob-ombs, Magikoopas, Chain Chomps, Piranha Plants, Cannons, Hammer Bros, Lakitus. Probably some other things.

I would recommend checking out the mod if you're curious, if you have any suggestions for future units and mechanics please leave a comment, and if you find any bugs, let me know.

Otherwise, this is a complete enough mod. Have fun, and- see if King Koopa can actually take over the world.

Ah yeah, this was kind of a test of concept to learn modding for this game in preparation to work on my Dawn of Sigmar mod for Elysium 5, but then my Kenshi modding started getting requested more, and I've been working on a unity game and these Elysium mod projects just sorta got left to the wayside.

While I do like the concept behind this, it is very... bare bones compared to other mods and even base classes. While the koopa soldiers are decently resilient enough to spam till mid-game the rest of the rooster is just too lacking or meaningless to get use out of.

Bowser himself is decent enough compared to other leader classes, he lacks the depth of a pure combat class like the Troll King and the rituals to even be a support class like Baron.

Though I've only started looking into the modding section recently, so I'm not fully aware of how difficult it is in the long run and I don't think you'll ever come back to this, but I felt you deserved some feedback.
