Neosys M42 w/ X90 mod.2 SAM system - advanced amphibious missile system

Description
--- Introduction ---
This is the Neo-12 M42 AAMS, or advanced amphibious missile system.

There is also a heavier, upgraded model called the M43 EAMS.

The Neosys M42 is equipped with a novel turret with the designation X90. This turret holds four M3 "Varis" missiles, a target acquisition datalink and a tracking radar.

The missiles are guided semi-actively using the X90's tracking radar.

Thanks to the 2 axis stabilized turret with automated target acquisition and tracking, the system can also be used while the car is moving. In addition, the missiles aren't limited to just aerial targets - they may also be used against tanks and ships just as well.

Now with the mod.1 upgrade, the launcher has seen some UI upgrades and is now capable of receiving data from a missile warning unit, designation R10-7H. You can find it on the M43.

--- List of notable features ---
  • Anti-lock braking
  • Assisted stability steering system
  • Dual- and single-engine drive
  • Amphibious capability
  • Sequential transmission with manual and automatic modes
  • X90 missile system with target acquisition datalink

--- Parking guide ---
To lock or unlock the parking brake, you must use the trimming functions available in the game.
With default key bindings, parking brake is engaged with LEFT ALT + S.
To disengage the parking brake, you must press LEFT ALT + S + W. Make sure to release the ALT key first of these three..

--- Swimming guide ---
The car does not respond well to stopping in the water, so you must always keep it moving. Depending on how heavy your load is, you may run the risk of capsizing the vehicle if you attempt to halt in the water.

If you wish to halt in the water, make sure that there are no missiles mounted on the X90 launcher.

For controlling the car in the water, use the game's "trimming" function to drive the car. The default key binding for this is LEFT ALT.

To steer in the water, use the left and right arrow keys. To move, apply some forward trim with LEFT ALT + W. To slow down, remove some forward trim with LEFT ALT + S.

Both engines must be running and the right side engine must not be in dynamo mode for swimming.

--- Missile operation guide ---
To enable the missile system, the missile operator must press the Number 2 key on the keyboard. To employ missiles, one must acquire a target. There are 2 ways to do this, and they are as follows:

The manual way
The operator must slew the launcher in the direction of the enemy and lock the desired enemy using the Number 4 key. This works up to 5 kilometers.

The automatic way
The operator must tune the acquisition datalink using the Rx frequency keypad to the radio channel of a radar or other coordinate source. By default, all X90 systems will transmit on the channel 20009000 when they have a lock, but this can be changed in the workbench by editing the microcontroller settings inside the turret. You may tune in to this channel if you wish to make your vehicle automatically lock the target of another X90.

The composite channels for this are as follows:
Num
Function
1
Target GPS X
2
Target GPS Y
3
Target altitude
4
Target mass (optional, 0=ignore)

If target data is received, you may enable the "Radio slave" function by pressing Number 6. The turret will automatically slew to the target and lock it if possible.

Now that you've locked a target, you can fire a missile using the trigger key bound in your game controls. Maintain lock until the missile hits the target.

These missiles can hit manoeuvring targets at up to 3.5 kilometers of range, thanks to their novel extended proportional navigation implementation and predictive proximity fuze.

--- Credits ---
Vladd - created the old radar logic. No longer used here
Dorert123/Lazakamikaza - involved with development of the M3 missile. Built the X90 missile system utilizing it with me.
Eduard V.B. - involved with developing the Neo-12 chassis with me, which is what the M42 is built from.

--- Closing ---
I hope you and your friends may enjoy this vehicle as much as we enjoyed making it. If you find any flaws in it or would like to see something changed, you're free to tell us or edit it yourself. All modifications are welcome.

Best regards, Lassi.

the on board radar kinda just locks onto the missiles themselves now and causes them to miss and light their fuse too early

I have now fixed that issue as well as pushed the latest M43 UI changes to this version. I hope you like it.

Yup, I misclicked and the pivot is gone. I'll fix that ASAP.

I'll check out that issue, I could've missed something when I made the last update earlier today.

It worked perfectly yesterday but now the missile turret falls off I tried to re spawn it but i have no idea to fix it

To be clear, this is a SARH system. You need to maintain a lock on the target until the missile hits it, otherwise it won't track the target. I'm not sure how you managed to fire all 4 at once, considering there's a failsafe in place to make sure only one can be fired per trigger press.

Are you sure your target was really in range in the first place?

The missiles have a lot of sideways drag, as do the rudders at the back. You could set up some ground anchors with mag-alls if you want, I'll probably be releasing the upgraded version of the X90 system soon, though.
