Before we start...
Hello fellow engineers!

!!! IMPORTANT !!!
I didn't play DSP since the Dark Fog update and I might not have the time to continue maintaining this guide. So just beware that some descriptions might not work anymore with further versions.

Since achievements were added in the game, I didn't find a quick guide on how to unlock some very specific ones. So here a guide based on my personal experience and the wiki of the game. If you have hints please leave them in the comments I'll add them later ;)

Before you start, go to the achievements section and press a button called "Enable detection". Save again your game to take this in account. If it's not there your game save is ready to registrer achievements but you should double check this setting before trying difficult achievements.

Some one-time achievements survive a game reload. So if you want to do something crazy like dumping Titanium in space, save your game and reload it after obtaining the achievement.

Finally, beware. Some achievements can conflict each other. For example Solar Sail? No thank you! asks to not send sails to your sphere but Bullseye asks to launch 100K solar sails. Also some achievement can be "missed", like Memento which asks to leave the starting landing capsule.

Choose wisely which achievements you want to unlock before starting a new game (solar sails or not, foundations or not,...)

Let's go!
Production/Power/Numbered achievements
Because their description will be redundant, I'm not detailing production, power or number milestones. This will also depend on a lot of factors such as power available (dyson spheres, solar belts,...), route taken (rare ore or not, crude oil, gas giant, proliferators,...), space available... You'll unlock those from time to time.

To see the products and power needed to mass product stuff, use the factoriolab website[factoriolab.github.io].

Numbered achievements are
  • Bullseye : Launch a total of 100k solar sails
  • We have lift-off : Launch a total of 30,000 small carrier rockets
  • Critical thinker : Produce a total of 60,000 critical photons
  • Secrets of the universe I and II : Upload a total of 1M and 10M universe matrices
  • Planet explorer I and II : Land on 5 and 15 different planets!
  • Well traveled : Travel to at least 32 planetary systems in a game (you need to land on a planet for each count).
  • Now boarding : Have at least 100 Logistics Drones for a planet in transit.
  • Interstellar convoy : Have at least 50 Interstellar Logistics Vessels in space

Power related achievements are
  • CentreBrain needs more energy I, II and III : All your Dyson Spheres must reach a total of 200MW, 1GW and 1TW. Look at the save screen or the power tab to see the progress
  • Small, Medium, Large, Giant, Universe factory : Reach a total power generation of 20MW, 100MW, 1GW, 5GM, 50GW.
  • Infinite Factory I,II,III : Exceed a total energy consumption of 1GJ, 1TJ, 1PJ. (note sure Dyson spheres' ray receivers count).

If you want to focus on some production achievements, stockpile a LOT of the final ingredients so you can feed them to a lot final machines (assemblers, labs,...). I'm converting the rate in items/minute for better reading of the production tab ingame.
  • Green power : 720 Electromagnetic turbines/minute (Electric motor + Magnetic Coil)
  • Electromagnetic matrix : 720/m (Magnetic coil + Circuit board)
  • Energy matrix : 720/m (Energetic graphene + hydrogen)
  • Structure matrix : 720/m (Diamond + Titanium crystal)
  • Information matrix : 720/m (Processor + Particle broadband)
  • Gravity matrix : 720/m (Graviton lens + Quantum chip)
  • Universe matrix : 360/m, 720/m, 1800/m (Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple, Green and Anitmatter)

The production meter will take some time to raise, that why you need to feed a lot of ingredients.
Alien Mineral Protection Act
Complete the game without using rare minerals.

WARNING : THIS CHALLENGE IS NOT WELL DESCRIBED AND THERE IS NO WAY AT THE MOMENT TO SEE IF THE ACHIEVEMENT IS STILL AVAILABLE WHEN PLAYING. PLEASE MAKE ITERATIVE BACKUPS OF YOUR SAVES IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!!!!

This is sort of the contrary of the Magpie achievement, but also you'll see in the map view shiny yellow ore which can still be picked up not breaking this.

In short, don't mine these
  • Organic crystal
  • Spiniform stalagmite crystal
  • Optical grating crystal
  • Fire ice the vein
  • Unipolar magnet
  • Fractal silicon
  • Kimberlite ore

If you mine one, a milestone will appear which might hint you that the achievement is not available anymore.

When harvesting rare ore by "accident" (mining trees, rocks,...), I personnaly put them into chests without touching them. Burning them in the fuel chamber (organic crystals, fire ice) is allowed.

But, you can mine these
  • Crude oil
  • Acid oceans

Handcrafting organic crystal (Chemist achievement) is allowed but I wouldn't inject them in my factories.

Some people on reddit or here managed to get this achievement even with rare ores but please be careful since you'll only know at the end if this worked.

I can't confirm myself but a lot of people still had this achievement by using Fire Ice from gas giants. Up to you if you want to confirm this theory.
All system are go!
Achieve discharge power of more than 300MW on a planet using Energy Hubs.

You need to build 7 energy hubs and use of one them to charge at least 14 batteries (as items).

Now, you can't put batteries in these by hand, you need to use a belt, a chest and an inserter.

Use one hub to charge the 14 batteries, place the 6 other hubs and set them all to "idle". Then use belts to put 2 charged batteries inside each (still in idle mode). Finally, go through each and select "discharge". The achievement should pop in a few seconds.
Are you proud of me, Stephen?
Find and orbit a Black Hole.

Search for a star named DSR on the map view and warp there.

To unlock the achievement you need to "touch" the black hole.
Backup plan
Build a Star Cluster with an energy storage capacity of 27GJ or more.

Craft 100 accumulators, charge them with an energy exchanger and/or put them directly on the ground and let them charge on your network grid.

See the power tab by pressing P to see when the achievement will pop.
Before our time
Land on another planet outside the initial planetary system before unlocking Warp drive.

As mentionned, DO NOT UNLOCK Drive engine Lv4

This might sound difficult but actually it's just a 2 hour IRL trip to a star located at less than 3 light-year. Again, save your game before doing that.

It can be done with the Drive engine Lv2 but for comfort you should unlock Drive engine Lv3 to go faster.

Look at a star in the galactic map view and choose one close enough. Click on the little arrow to have a "laser pointer" at it, and adjust your orientation (Alt, Space and WASD) to get the flight numbers near 0. Come back halfway there to eventually make a mid-course correction.

Also bring fuel because you'll have to land on a planet there.
Blackbox designer
Copy and save a Blueprint.

First, unlock the Mass construction mech upgrade.

Then go near a factory and press Ctrl+C. Give a name to your blueprint and voilà!
Bon voyage!
Travel to the planetary system farthest from your original system.

First, go to your home system and open the map view (V).

Look for the furthest star from you and edit its name. Pin the direction towards this star.

Now, save your game because you're about to travel for less than 1 hour with deuteron fuel rods!

My star was 42 LY away. With a 1.58GJ and basic warp drive it took me 4 stops to get there. 10-ish deuteron fuel rods were used.

While travelling, take notes of star system you'll cross to see which resource they have, and also look for specific planets (reverse rotation, tidal lock,...).

Once you'll reach the star system the achievement will pop.
Boy genius
Find and orbit a Neutron Star.

Search for a star named NTR on the map view and warp there.

To unlock the achievement you need to "touch" the star.
Build it and they will come
Build 10 Orbital Collectors

First of all, good news: if you already placed some it will be taken in account when pressing the "Enable detection" button! So if you have a save with a lot of them, go there and enable achievement detection.

You need to place them for the achievement to work.

TL;DR: Start manufacturing these:
  • Particle container
  • Super-magnetic rings
  • Advanced thrusters
  • Titanium alloy
Now let's break this down. An orbital collector is composed of an ILS with byproducts, which is composed of a PLS with byproducts.

A PLS is (HM = hand-make possible in the replicator)
  • 40 steel bars (smelter)
  • 40 titanium ingots (HM) (smelter)
  • 40 chips (HM) (assembler)
  • 20 particle containers (HM) (assembler)
An ILS is
  • 1 PLS (see above) (HM) (assembler)
  • 40 titanium alloys (smelter)
  • 20 particle containers (HM) (assembler)
An orbital collector is
  • 1 ILS (see above (HM) (assembler)
  • 50 super-magnetic rings (HM) (assembler)
  • 20 advanced thusters (5 titanium alloy + 5 EM turbines) (HM) (assembler)
  • 20 charged batteries (6 iron ingots + 1 SM ring + 6 crystal silicons) (HM) (assembler) + charge
So..... One OC is litterally
  • 40 steel bars
  • 40 titanium ingots
  • 40 chips
  • 40 particle containers
  • 40 + 5x20 = 140 titanium alloys
  • 50 + 1x20 = 70 super-magnetic rings
  • 5x20 = 100 EM turbines
  • 6x20 = 120 crystal silicons
  • (I'm not counting iron and copper ingots since they are very commun but I suppose you're gonna need a lot of them)
And you need 10 of them. So start building a mall for this...
Burn baby burn
Have Icarus burn at least 16 different fuels in a game

You'd be surprised what burns in this game. Simply hover an object in your inventory and if it has a kJ value you can put it in the mech fuel chamber!

From the wiki[dsp-wiki.com]:
  • Plant fuel (500 kJ)
  • Wood (1.5 MJ)
  • Organic crystal (1.8 MJ)
  • Coal (2.7 MJ)
  • Graphite (6.75 MJ)
  • Crude oil (4.05 MJ)
  • Refined oil (4.5 MJ)
  • Hydrogen (9 MJ)
  • Deuterium (9 MJ)
  • Diamond (900 kJ)
  • Graphene (96 kJ)
  • Carbon nanotube (96 kJ)
  • Fire ice (4.8 MJ)
  • Hydrogen fuel rod (54 MJ)
  • Deuteron fuel rod (600 MJ)
  • Antimatter fuel rod (7.2 GJ)

You can also burn a charged accumulator but it will be destroyed, for example if you don't want to use Fire ice because of the Alien preservation achivement or if you are too far from Antimatter
Chemist
Make 20 Organic Crystals by hand using the original formula.

First, you need to search Polymer chemical engineering, this will give you the receipe to handcraft organic crystals with
  • 20 wood logs
  • 30 plants
  • 10 units of water

For the water you need to install a water pump near a shore and click on it to grab some water.

In total you will need
  • 400 wood logs
  • 600 plants
  • 200 water
Data rules everything around me
Achieve a Matrix Lab upload rate of 1M hash/s

This achievenement depends on your lab setup and research speed. The strategy is to not research things for some time in order to stockpile some matrixes, then do a research which requires the matrix you have the most.
Determination
Use more than 80K foundations on a Waterworld planet.

If possible, find a solar system which has a waterworld planet with an iron/stone rich planet nearby. Mass produce foundations (iron steel (smelter) + stone plates (smelter)) and send them to your waterworld using an ILS.
Didn't break a sweat!
Complete the game within 25 hours on x1 (or less) resource difficulty.

See "Mission Impossible!"
Don't sand so close to me
Collect at least 4M units of sand in a game.

You collect sand when building things in game so this achievement will go on while you play. Some planets have bigger available sand.

Placing foundations doesn't reduce the main counter for the achievement.
Don't underestimate Plant Fuel
Consume at least 100 Plant Fuel by burning it.

As said, collect 100 plants by "mining" plants or trees and put them in the mech's fuel chamber (press C).
Employee of the month
Unlock upgrade allowing Sorters to carry 6 cargo at a time.

Search all sorter cargo stacking related upgrades. There are 5 of them.
Environmentalist
Complete the game without using Foundations.

You can craft them for further use but don't lay them anywhere. Once you have the Mission achieved tech you use foundations normally.

Collecting soil is also okay.

Now, an important note for newcomers: the water pump doesn't need foundations. If you have this message this means you're not placing it well: the square on the ground is where the pump will output its content and where you'll have to place your belts.
Environmental nightmare
Drop 3000 units of Titanium Ingot at once while flying through space.

Requires Titanium Smelting and Drive engine Lv2 (mecha sail).

Titanium ingots stack by 100 so you need 30 inventory slots (3 lines). Smelt them and carry them in space.

Once in space, Ctrl+Click on a stack to have them all and press Delete. Once the achievement pops, either reload your save or catch the titanium ingots by clicking on them.
Faster than light
Reach a sailing speed of 3000m/s in non-warp transportation.

Important warning, this achievement will be hard to obtain because it will depend on your mech's flying style, also this will annoy KSP players...

Spaceflight is limited to 2000m/s but it changes when you are close to celestial bodies because of gravity. The goal of this achievement is to pass multiple times near a star to slingshot Icarus at higher speeds, then use warping to "memorize" the latest speed and keeping it far away.

First double check you have the "enable detection" button pressed. Then pack some Deuteron fuel rods and 10 warpers. Save your game because you might need a lot of retries.

Go to space, pin and and aim for a star, preferably a heavy star like a black hole. Press Shift until you reach 2000m/s. Then DON'T PRESS SHIFT OR Z for the rest of this guide.

Now cycle through these steps:
  • Once you're near the star, your speed will raise greatly but it will also slow very quickly after. You must find the good spot to warp when at very high speed.
  • If you pinned the star, you should see its distance during warp. When at 5UA stop warping
  • Now use A or D to turn around back to the star (and don't ask how you don't lose speed by doing this). Use the reticle to aim precisely towards the star.
  • Repeat until the achievement pops.

Forgot about that
Build Wind Turbines on a planet with no atmosphere.

Open the map view and go to a planet with no wind power. Put a wind turbine and get the achievement.

Bonus points if you do that on a pre-achievement save and trigger a "wind power" milestone at the same time ;)
Going nuclear
Generate more than 600MW of power on a planet using Mini Fusion Power Plants.

A power plant produces 15MW so you'll need 40 of them. Don't forget you can chain fuel between each plant without belts.
Got Deuterium?
Use Fractionators to produce at least 100K Deuterium per hour on a single planet.

This looks like a production threshold achievement, but actually it relies on luck and preparation, and if you want to use pilers and/or proliferators.

First of all, prepare to mass produce blue belts (green belts (yellow belts + electric motor) + graphene + electric turbines)

The important thing to note is that you must NOT put 100 fractionators side by side around your planet because this is not how it works. You need to put a liquid tank, blue belts and 10-ish fractionators and a loop back to the initial liquid tank, then send the surplus of hydrogen to another liquid tank with other fractionators...

Don't directly fill your tanks because the key with fractionators is to never interrupt the hydrogen cycle. You'll need to make your setup run a few minutes for the production tab to take note of the deuterium production. Obviously do this setup near a ice/gas giant to have a lot of hydrogen stored in an ILS and when your setup is ready, release the hydrogen at once to your tanks.
High-rise
Build a building at least 7 stories tall.

Research Vertical construction Lv2 and build 7 labs on top of each other.
I can see my house from here!
Get Icarus 40m above sea level without entering flight mode.

The "without entering flight mode" is what this achievement is all about. If you double press space you will enter flight mode and at this height you could even enter sail mode!

You also need to unlock the Vertical Construction Lv5 upgrade to build high enough labs.

So first craft 13 labs. Put the first on the ground, then simple jump on it.

Now, the trick is to do the same as minecraft : put the camera on top of Icarus, jump and press F1 and click directly to place the lab under him. Check you key bindings to be sure you can still jump even in construction mode (thanks KySoto)

Repeat until you have the achievement.

For scale:
Icarus, PhD
Unlock all technologies (upgrade Unlimited Technology at least once).

As mentionned, unlock all technologies even those requiring universe matrixes.

I'm not sure about the Dyson Sphere Stress System. I'll update this when sure.
I'm gonna need more drones!
Control 10 or more Construction Drones.

Search Communication control Lv5. If it doesn't pop, lay some belts on the ground to deploy your drones.
Intergalactic logistics
Establish 5 Interstellar Logistics Transportation lines between different planetary systems.

Although stated "interstellar", I had this achievement without using warpers on my ships. Just put multiple ILS on different planets of your system.
I saw that in a movie once
Cover a planet with a Foundation.

You may be tempted to cover a waterwold planet to pursue the Determination achievement, but you'll quickly run out of soil.

So you should better pave a standard planet with a lot of soil (Desert planets). Use decorations and stick with a fixed grid (10x10) to snap on the building grid.
Know any campfire songs?
Consume at least 40 wood by burning it.

As said, collect 40 wood and put them in the mech's fuel chamber (by pressing C).
Lean mean cleaning machine
Use Icarus' garbage clearing function to absorb 50,000 units of Iron Ingot at the same time.

Although the number is large, if you already mass produce iron ingots before transforming them you should have enough materials.

Or else lay 12 smelters over 2 miners to have a 600-ish ingots/minute ouput.

Put all those ingots in an ILS (you don't need to power it) and wait for it to reach 10000 ingots. Then hold right-click on the ingot symbol and move the cursor to the right to have all the ingots in hand. Move somewhere and press delete.

Repeat 5 times or more to drop all the ingots on the ground at the same place.

Once you have enough, press M and then the first recycle icon. Hold click on the zone where all the ingots are and wait for the achievement to pop. You can see in the achievement tab how much iron you absorbed.
Light-footed
Unlock upgrade to make mecha reach 12m/s movement speed.

The logo of the achievement says that you need to unlock the tier 8 of Mechanical frame mech upgrade but I managed to unlock it with only the tier 6.
Like a diamond in the sky
Light a star that belongs to you in the Milky Way View.

Have a Dyson Sphere with 1MW of power (either by swarm or shells), the achievement will pop at this moment
Low battery
Have Icarus’ energy below 5% for more than 3 minutes when on the ground.

Easy to do in an early game. Simply walk with no energy for 3 minutes.
Magpie
Discover 7 kinds or rare minerals, and collect at least 10 by hand.

Here they are:
  • Organic crystals (organic planets)
  • Kimberlite
  • Unipolar magnets (near black holes and neutron stars)
  • Spiniform Stalagmite Crystal
  • Optical Grating Crystal
  • Fractal Silicon
  • Fire Ice (the veins, not the gas giant ore)

Don't forget to enable achievement detection when mining the ores or else the counter will not update.

Although "rare" these ore were in reach of ~10 light-years from my first homeworld.

This can easily be done with Universe Exploration . Simply hop between planets by saving your game from time to time and look at the star map to see the resources you want. Since it must be done in one save, grab a lot of Deuteron fuel rods and warpers before starting.

And finally, grab a pencil and write which star has which resource in case your reload an previous save.
Memento!
Don't dismantle the landing capsule before completing the game.

Simply don't right-click on your landing capsule when starting the game. Collect wood around you and wait for your mech to automatically recharge.

There is nothing in the game telling if the achievement is still available so if you can't find your capsule in your game consider it being destroyed.
Mineral by the dozen
Cover at least 12 Veins with one Mining machine.

!! Dark Fog Update !!
Since the update according to some comments, some minerals had their hitbox changed so the seed below doesn't seem to work anymore. Either downgrade the version pre dark fog or use another seed. Good luck!

Thanks to reddit user Selsion0 ;)

Create a new world with the seed 87679369 (64 planets and 1x resources).

Collect some iron and research Electromagnetism, then go to this coal patch near your starting point and put a miner as shown.

Now, I'd personaly advise you not to try to get this achievement on a normal run. You'll have to find veins dense enough to have a miner cover at least 12 or more, even by burying veins with foundations...

If you choose to bury veins, beware of the Environmentalist achievement asking to not use foundations.
Mission accomplished
Complete the game

Sounds straightforward? You need to
  • Gather resources
  • Mass produce matrixes to research the prerequisites of the Mission completed! tech.
  • Create a dyson sphere or launch a dyson swarm
  • Collect antimatter
  • Wait

Now what you can do is combine some achievements with this one :
  • Memento : don't destroy your landed capsule
  • Alien Mineral Protection Act : don't mine rare veins
  • Environmentalist : don't use foundations
  • Solar Sail? No thank you! : build only the structure of the sphere. Crafting sails is possible as long as you don't launch them
  • x0.5 resource completion : as said, start with a x0,5 resource multiplier
  • Didn't break a sweat! / Mission impossible! : finish the game within 25/10 hours at x1 resource multiplier or less.

Note: you don't need to research Dyson sphere stress system since a plane structure can generate power.
Mission Impossible!
Complete the game within 10 hours on x1 (or less) resource difficulty.

There's already a guide here : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2615673234

In short: find a good seed, prepare some blueprints and go swarm.
My planet, my rules!
Name a planet.

When you can, access the galactic map view (V). Click on a planet and then on its name, you will be able to rename it (put the rare ore it has for example).
Nice Surprise 1
Obtain at least 100 Titanium Ore by collecting Stone.

On organic planets containing trees, you can sometimes find Titanium when mining stones.

Simply mine big rocks (the scenery, not the stone veins) until you hit that number.
Nice surprise 2
Obtain at least 100 Silicon Ore by collecting Stone.

Like the titanium ore on stone, you can sometimes find silicon on big stones (not veins). Ashen Gelisol seem to have more than other planets (thanks Irea).
Nice Surprise 3
Obtain at least 100 Organic Crystals by collecting plants.

On organic planets containing trees, you can sometimes find organic crystals by collecting plants. Although the description says plants, mining trees works too.
Nice surprise 4
Obtain at least 100 Sulfuric Acid by collecting plants.

According to the wiki, this can be done by collecting plants on Sakura Ocean planets[dsp-wiki.com]. You can try to plants collect on any organic planets but it will be longer...
Nice Surprise 5
Obtain at least 10 Carbon Nanotubes by collecting plants.

According to the wiki[dsp-wiki.com]: "Carbon Nanotubes may be rarely harvested from certain plants, especially the larger trees on Mediterranean, Red Stone or Oceanic Jungle planets. However, the quantities obtained after clearing an entire planet are usually insufficient to make more than one or two items."

Just keep chopping large trees until you get the achievement.
No coal? No problem!
Generate more than 60MW of electricity on a planet using Wind Turbines.

Wind turbines generate 300 kW depending on the wind ratio of the planet. At 100% ratio you'll need 200 wind turbines (and enough space to place them!).
No diving!
Have a mecha run out of energy and fall into water.

Can be done early game when unlocking the Drive engine Lv1 "Mecha Flight" mech upgrade, the key is to fall into deep water (not a shore).
One giant leap for mankind
Leave the original planet and land on another within an hour

In case you didn't notice, this is a speedrun achievement so launch a new game and try to reach another planet in one hour. This is the equivalent of Factorio's "On a track like a pro".

First of all, here's a nice seed for you with everything at reach : 85481845-64-A10 (Chara III).

TL;DR tips :
  • Some tech are needed but not mentionned in the tech tree, see below.
  • Quickly stack some coal, you'll be depleting energy very quickly.
  • Grab some stone or mine rocks nearby, rafineries require a lot of them.
  • Use boxes instead of belts, to save energy.
  • Mass product iron plates (3-4 smelters), you'll need them to build buildings and belts.
  • Use the free storage tank to store refined oil so your hydrogen production keeps going.
  • Before you leave, stack some graphite since you're going to another planet.

You need to research Drive engine Lv2 (200 blue matrix, 200 red matrix) and it's prerequisites
  • Electromagnetism (10 magnetic coil, you can unlock this one very quickly when dismantling your pod)
  • Mecha core Lv1 (20 iron plates, 20 copper plates) : to speed up mecha charge
  • Electromagnetic matrix (10 magnetic coil, 10 circuits)
  • High-efficiency plasma control (50 blue matrix) : to prepare buillding wireless charging poles
  • Basic assembling processes (10 circuits, 10 gears)
  • Plasma extract refining (100 blue matrix) : warning, search for Steel smelting before, see below
  • Fluid storage encapsulation (50 blue matrix) : prerequisite for Energy matrix but needed to store refined oil so the hydrogen production keeps going.
  • Energy matrix (200 blue matrix)
  • Drive engine Lv1 (150 coal, 60 magnetic coil)
  • Mecha core Lv2 (100 blue matrix, 100 red matrix)
  • Drive engine Lv2 (200 blue matrix, 200 red matrix)

Important prerequisites (not mentionned in the tech tree)
  • Automatic metallurgy (10 magnetic coil, 10 circuits) : prerequisite of purification and obviously needed for smelters
  • Basic logistics system (10 circuits, 10 gears) : you need belts to extract oil and automate energy matrix
  • Steel smelting (120 blue matrix) : steel is needed to craft refineries
  • Smelting purification (100 blue matrix) : needed to craft graphite without unlocking X-Ray craking

These are optional but quite recommended
  • Thermal power (30 blue matrix) : burn coal/oil/refined oil/graphite for electricity
  • Improved logistics system (100 blue matrix) : Mk2 sorters for labs, you'll have some for free but to craft others you'll need...
  • Electromagnetic drive (50 blue matrix) : needed to craft Mk2 sorters.
Only impossible until it's not
Start warp engine.

Unlock the Drive engine Lv4 "Warp engine" mech upgrade and build a warper, equip it, go to space and press CapsLock (or the key you assigned).

Sidenote. Warping keeps in memory the last sail speed so before warping go to the maximum speed so when exiting warp you'll still go fast enough.
Power surge
Use 12 Wireless Power Towers to charge a mecha at the same time.

First, look for enough resources to craft 12 Wireless Towers and craft them.

Then put them in a "+" shape with each bar having 2x4 power towers. And stand in the middle.
Running on fumes
Manually collect 20 Hydrogen with Icarus on a Gas Giant while energy is at 5% or less.

Choose a gas giant which serves hydrogen. Go there and deplete your energy by moving around. Then click on the "Manual Collect" button at the bottom to start collecting hydrogen. Wait for 20.
Sail away with me
Unlock upgrade to make the Solar Sail last 2 hours.

Unlock the Solar sail life Lv4
Slip 'n' slide
Fill 10 tanks of fluid in a game.

Self explanatory. Hydrogen is a fluid and you're gonna need to store a lot!
Sonic boom!
Exceed a sailing speed of 340m/s in the atmosphere.

Completely charge your mecha and go to space BUT before leaving the atmosphere (when you see the speed indicator) press Alt to go down while still pressing Shift. Alternate Space and Alt to stay in the atmosphere and look at the speed indicator.

You can also use your mouse to continuously aim for the horizon (thanks Knottypine).
Space invaders
Use the mineral burial function to bury at least 20 Veins.

Beware if you're running for Environmentalist (no foundations).

Simply craft a lot of foundations and find an ore patch with 20+ veins. Save your game, bury them and load it back.
Space junk
Exhaust both fuel and energy while flying in space.

Requires Drive engine Lv2 (Mecha Sail).

This one is a little tricky. You need to remove everything flammable in your inventory (see the Burn Baby Burn achievement) and you must be sure you have cleared the mech's fuel chamber. Then go to space and press shift to deplete your energy.

This achievement survives a game reload so simply save your game, put all your inventory in a box, go to space and reload!
Sunbather
Generate more than 180MW of electricity on a planet using Solar Panels.

Requires Solar collection tech.

You've seen a lot of pictures everywhere of "solar belts" around planets? Well, that's not exaclty like this that you'll unlock this achievement...

A solar panel gives 360kW depending on the solar ratio of the planet you're on, with a 100% ratio you need 500 solar panels. So you'll need to search for a rocky planet closest possible to the sun.

Doing a solar belt will not help for the achievement but by experience you can put 5 lines of solar panels on the equator (0° in the window bottom left or the green line in building mode) in a big area. Wait for the sun to raise and check the power generation by pressing P.
Tickets please!
Establish an Interstellar Logistics Transportation line.

Although stated "interstellar", you don't need your transport ships to have warpers. Just put 2 ILS on two different star systems.
We can make it if we try
Build a Dyson Sphere around a Red Giant star with a power generation performance of more than 10GW.

Not sure why this is a particular achievement. As mentionned build a Dyson Sphere around a Red Giant. You should choose a cluster where resources for rockets launchers are abundant (acid, oil,...) so your sphere will grow without interaction.
What time is it? / I'm not tilted / The sun rises in the... West?
Find and land on a planet with day and night tidal locking. / Find and land on a planet rotating on a horizontal axis. / Find and land on a planet rotating on a reverse axis.

When travelling through several systems, search for planets with these specific traits. Tidally locked planets are very useful for ray receivers or solar power.
Where no coal has gone before
Use coal as the only fuel to move from one planet to another.

Requires the Drive engine Lv2 "Mecha Sail" mech upgrade.

Empty the mech's fuel chamber, collect some coal, put it in the mech fuel chamber and go to another planet.
Who approved this?
Unlock technology to make the construction latitude of the Dyson Sphere node reach 45 degrees.

Research 3 times the Dyson Sphere stress system.

got the "faster than light" during the cluster exploration; visited the black hole system and decided to try the described method (to increase own chances). got it on the first close pass of the b.hole.. :V

@Shohei I got "Minerals by the dozen" on Seed 87679369 on the Coal patch in version 0.10.32.25783 on June 22, 2025. It took a bit to get the perfect spot, but I was able to get it.

@Ecthelon I had the same problem for "Minerals by the dozen" achievement. It seems the hibox has been changed and this won't work in the latest version (after dark fog update V0.10.28.21014 21 December 2023).
The seed 87679369 still works but you need to switch to older version to achieve this.
Right click on the game > Properties > Betas > Beta Participation > 0.8.x - DSP Alpha 0.8 latest

Can anyone confirm whether the location for "Minerals by the dozen" still works for them? The deposit is still there in the seed, but I've tried really carefully lining up the miner for almost and hour and I can't find a spot where it will build. I'm really starting to think a hitbox has been changed in the latest update.

Wow, I stand corrected! That's impressive and before proliferation even. My comment was really about noting that you can still get achievements that look like they are mutually exclusive since you can keep getting things on the same game after "winning."

@heliocat Yes I agree, the goal was to warn players to plan ahead before starting a run.

For Mission Impossible! and Solar Sail? No Thank You! I saw somebody speedrun ALL the achievement in one run (https://www.reddit.com/r/Dyson_Sphere_Program/comments/s6u320/completing_all_achievement_in_a_single_run_in_40/) so I suppose it should be possible (but monstruously mad!)

You can achieve Magpie in the same game as Alien Mineral Protection Act, similarly Determination, I Saw This In A Movie Once, and Minerals by the Dozen in an Environmentalist game or Bullseye in a Solar Sail? No Thank You! game. Since the wording on the three avoidance achievements are for "before completion" you can achieve those when researching Mission Complete and then go for the rest during the post-victory late game.

The only two achievements that I would consider to be actually mutually exclusive would be Mission Impossible! and Solar Sail? No Thank You! and only because I don't think you can build the infrastructure needed to harvest 4000 critical photons from rockets alone in the ~6 hours you have.

One other thing, I can confirm that Alien Mineral Protection Act only cares about mining rare ores from veins. When I got it I was relying heavily on Fire Ice from an Ice Giant for graphine and hydrogen production.

@goufalite For the Sonic Boom! achievement, I tried the shift + alternating ALT/Space, and found that method tricky. I manage to reach about 334 m/s as tracked by the achievement progress. After messing around, I've found an easier way to achieve it and was a bit shocked when the achievement popped up. What I did was hold down both 'W' plus Space, and at the same time kept my mouse cursor aimed slightly towards the planet. I never let off the spacebar. Essentially this kept my sail mode active with 'space', but with my aim on the planet kept my mech within the atmosphere and allowed me to reach the achievement speed.

@Irea medium size rocks on the starting planet have silicon. Quite a bit of it as well.

i wanna point out for the "I can see my house from here!" achievement, i was able to just jump then place the building under myself, and then jump again, no need to leave building mode to do it.
