Eagle Industries
Welcome to Eagle Industries, a startup company that brings you the best brand spanking new military hardware out there. If you're looking for an honest, environmentally responsible product; you've come to the right place!

Class description
Fast Attack Crafts (FAC) are a unique set of vessels within Eagle Industries. The Wraith is an excellent example of this class: Aimed for coastal and brown water operations, it is fast, lightly armoured and carries heavy weaponry aimed towards one goal only: To sink any invading surface fleet by means of swarming the enemy and hitting it with heavy anti-ship missiles. FACs are vulnerable in most regards and their singular task makes them especially vulnerable to aircraft or other nimble ships. They serve two purposes: To protect against invading vessels, and to support existing fleets with heavy firepower. When using these vessels in an offensive role, make sure to have a larger lead ship present which draws fire, while FACs provide a supportrole.

The ship
The Scylla is meant to be a heavier version of the Wraith class. It is an upgrade in every respect: A bigger hull means better stability at sea. The Wraith class would suffer quite severely from adverse weather, the Scylla is less affected by it. She's faster as well, at 40 m/s. She's better armoured, and carries significantly more firepower. Instead of the four "Havoc" shipkiller missiles, she carries 16. She also carries two dual use AA/CIWS guns and sports improved defensive capabilities. Lastly, her gasturbine engines allow for an efficient use of fuel. Combined with the high speed this allows the Scylla to act as a cost effective raider and/or intercepter.

In all, this vessel is a solid upgrade, but doesn't come without weaknesses. Being comparable to the Ravager class Destroyer in terms of cost, she is less capable of absorbing damage due to the weight constrictions imposed on a catamaran. Survivability is as such slightly worse than you'd expect from mono-hulls. The AA suite is also worse than on Ravager, which means caution is in place when in an area with a lot of small aircraft. Lastly, the complete lack of torpedoes also means that the ship is vulnerable to submarines.

Over all however, the Scylla is a solid catamaran with high firepower in an economical package. Expect her to be able to solo vessels up to twice her cost bracket, including the Tyr.

Important note: The latest update reduced the power provided by motor props drastically, as well as reducing lift provided by wings. Current max speed has gone down from 40 m/s to 28 m/s. This ship gets a spot on the overhaul list to see if I can get its performance back up again. Sorry.
