HC-3031XC Light Atmospheric Transport

Initially designed as an upgrade package for the severely flawed and outdated HC-2078 Light Transport, the design later became much more complicated than expected and resulted in a completely new transport vehicle. Engineers at Golden Legion Industries have decided to remove the cargo cabin from the HC-2078 that was restricting its max cargo capacity and rather experimented on various ways to connect modular cargo containers. Eventually they ended up with a magnetic clamp mechanism to secure cargo containers. The new mag clamp system proved to be working well but due to the Renation Empires demand for this new transport vehicle to also be used as an atmospheric salvage vehicle, the engineers then later installed a grapling system that could latch onto any object that didnt have a magnetic clamp module attached. Also the old and complicated engine system of the old HC-2078 needed to be remade from scratch. The main engines mostly remained the same but had upgraded thrusthers that unfortunately led to increased backblast during takeoff. Along with that, the secondary thrusthers have been redesign to allow for more cargo capacity than usual. The ship had retained its two cockpit layout and still required a co-pilot to operate the crane and subsytems of the ship.

The ship has cameras and projectors to help guide the harpoon and also an aligner script to help with gravity.
