Floating research station "Fat Albert" is designed for research and mining operations at any depth, and can also serve as a side function of a commercial cargo ship. Created by order of the Scientific Community of the Coalition, the interior of the submarine is equipped with the latest technology, including a research terminal for collected biological samples and a special area for the cultivation and study of the flora of Europe.
The creators decided to abandon the extremely common nuclear reactors available on most submarines, due to the highest value of the transported samples, therefore all systems are powered by a powerful and extremely reliable diesel generator, which is a much safer, albeit rather outdated, source of electricity.
Also, despite the considerable dimensions, it was decided to limit itself to a standard trolling motor, since the design of the submarine is far from the most hydrodynamic shape, which in any case does not allow it to gain high speed. But thanks to the huge size of the ballast compartment, "Fat Albert" has an impressive speed of diving and ascent, allowing in the event of an attack to urgently curtail the expedition and leave the danger zone.

The submarine does not have high firepower and has a standard pulse laser, a legacy magnetic gun and an obsolete railgun. But there are also two discharge coils for protection, which perfectly help to fight off flocks of small predators.
The working miners and scientists are guarded by a team of experienced security officers on a long-term Coalition contract. Three airlocks allow the fighters to leave the submarine extremely quickly in the event of an attack on the expedition.


P.S. I am far from the most experienced submaker and I do not make unnecessarily complex chains of components and confusing electronics, concentrating mainly on the external component, so I apologize in advance for the shortcomings found.

Плавучая исследовательская станция "Fat Albert" предназначена для исследовательских и шахтёрских работ на любой глубине, а также может выполнять побочную функцию коммерческого грузового судна. Созданная по заказу Учёного сообщества Коалиции, изнутри подлодки оборудована по последнему слову техники, включая исследовательский терминал для собранных биологических образцов и специальную зону для выращивания и изучения флоры Европы.
Создатели решили отказаться от крайне распространенных ядерных реакторов, имеющихся на большинстве субмарин, ввиду высочайшей ценности перевозимых образцов, поэтому все системы питает мощный и крайне надежный дизельный генератор, являющийся намного более безопасным, хотя и достаточно устаревшим источником электроэнергии.
Также, несмотря на немалые габариты, было решено ограничиться стандартный двигателем малого хода, так как конструкция подлодки имеет далеко не самую гидродинамическую форму, в любом случае не позволяющую набирать высокую скорость. Зато благодаря огромного размера балластному отсеку "Fat Albert" имеет впечатляющую скорость погружения и всплытия, позволяющие в случае нападения экстренно свернуть экспедицию и покинуть опасную зону.
Субмарина не обладает высокой огневой мощью и имеет стандартный импульсный лазер, магнитную пушку прошлого поколения и рельсотрон устаревшей конструкции. Зато также для защиты имеются две разрядные катушки, отлично помогающие отбиться от стай мелких хищников.
Охрану работающих шахтёров и учёных осуществляет команда из опытных офицеров безопасности, работающих на долгосрочном контракте Коалиции. Три воздушных шлюза позволяют бойцам крайне быстро покинуть подлодку в случае нападения на экспедицию.


З.Ы. Я далеко не самый опытный сабмейкер и не делаю излишне сложных цепочек компонентов и запутанной электроники, концентрируясь главным образом на внешней составляющей, поэтому заранее прошу прощения за найденные недочёты.
