Description:

After the consolidation of the peoples of Sol into the United Nations of Sol, the USN recommissioned vessels from the UNN and MCRN navies. These underwent extensive refits to be in line with new USN regulations. The first ship to be converted to this new standard was the Orion class Heavy Frigate, now a Destroyer. Weapon systems were overhauled to feature the best of the USN's new defence contractors, namely those of Aryx Weapon Enterprises.

This refit aimed to increase the firepower of the vessel considerably while reducing the space needed for storage.

To further these upgrades, improvements in thrust technologies were implemented to increase the agility of the Destroyer considerably, this allowed new armour to be fitted across the hull as well.

8x Spitfire Burst Cannons
2x Artemis Railgun Turrets
2x Hydra Missile Batterys
6x Astraeus Torpedo Tubes
4x Longbow Missile Tubes
4x Flechette Missile Launchers
4x Poseidon Salvo Launchers

She also comes fully equipped with a fleshed out interior and cargobay as well as the ability to land on planets.

Personal Notes:

Here is the refit I mentioned in the MCRN version of this ship. I decided to use tiered thrusters for my personal USN builds as they make these ships far more agile. I really like this version of the ship with the blue colour scheme as well.
