Introduction
This guide teaches you how to fight bosses, not complete achievements. I have a separate guide for how to complete achievements, which you can find below!

Achievement Guide: Click Me!
YouTube Playlist of all Bosses: No, click me!

This guide is finished. If anything is confusing or incorrect, if you need more help, or have any suggestions to make it better please leave a comment! I'll still be online. :)
Basic Gameplay
Normal Mode
  • You unlock dodge by killing both Vesicle and Eremite and Spectre.
  • You heal by not moving from the same spot for a period of time.
  • Killing Migraine for the first time gives you faster cool-down / charge times for dodge, ignite, and heal.
  • You heal faster and your dodge recharges faster when not shooting.
  • Press the middle mouse button to use a random emote.
  • You unlock all other modes once you beat Dead on normal mode.

"Easy" Mode
  • You have all upgrades unlocked from the start.
  • All bosses have faster attack and move speed.
  • All bosses have the same attacks, but with 1 or 2 upgraded attacks.
    • For this reason, when detailing attack patterns for each "Easy" boss, I only included what has changed.

Boss Rush
  • Order of the bosses: Progenitor, Vesicle, Eremite and Spectre, Furnace, Puppeteer, Migraine, Totem, Glass Master, The Silenced, Scourge, Literally Eight Bears, Dying Ember.
  • The first time you play Boss Rush, you must unlock all upgrades like Normal Mode. If you die, you keep any upgrades you earned for your next Boss Rush attempt.
    • These Boss Rush attempts must be made consecutively. If you change modes and go back you need to earn the upgrades all over again.

General Tips
  • All bosses have both visual and sound indicators for their attacks. Most of the bosses, I only listed visual indicators unless the sounds were necessary.
    • The lack of sound is also a sound indicator.
  • You can dodge through enemies.
  • If you need to revive health, for most boss fights wait until the boss attacks you, then stand still and use your Explosion attack to push the boss away.
Progenitor
Mechanics
  • The arena starts with fleshy orbs everywhere. These fleshy orbs deal damage to the player when touched, but can be destroyed by attacking.
  • Random beetles show up to assist Progenitor throughout the fight.

Attacks
Beetle Summons: Summons a large horde of bright red beetles that surrounds the player.
  • Indicator: Lets out a short screech while quickly spiraling around the player.
  • Counter 1: Shoot a hole through the wall of beetles. Go through the hole then gun them down from the outside.
  • Counter 2: Wait until the beetles are close to harming the player then use the Ignite attack.
    • While this usually doesn't kill all the beetles, it gets rid of most of them.
  • Other Info: These beetles die in 1 - 2 hits.

Dash: Dashes toward the player.
  • Indicator: Stops moving towards the player and starts screaming in place.
  • Counter: Move out of the way once Progenitor starts dashing.
  • Other Info: Progenitor leaves a trail of fleshy orbs every time he dashes.

Evil Beetle Summons: Summons a small horde of dark red beetles that surrounds the player.
  • Indicator: Starts pulsating.
  • Counter: Same counters as the Beetle Summons attack.
  • Other Info: These beetles usually die in more than 2 hits. Unlike Beetle Summons, these beetles spiral around you.

Tips
  • Before attacking Progenitor, destroy most or all of the fleshy orbs occupying the arena as you move around. This makes it so you don't accidentally run into them later in the fight, and you have more space to move now.

Achievements
  • Progenitor Dead: Kill Progenitor
  • Progenitor Erased: Kill Progenitor without exploding
  • The Law of Motherhood: Kill Progenitor without moving

Video Demo
Vesicle
Mechanics
  • Random beetles show up to assist Vesicle throughout the fight.

Attacks
Black Holes: Summons black dots on one whole side of the map. These dots grow until they explode ~3 seconds after being summoned.
  • Indicator: Remains idle while growling. After the growl, Vesicle moves upwards and these dots start appearing on whichever side the player is currently on.
  • Counter 1: Move to the other side of the arena.
  • Counter 2: If you cannot retreat in time, try to time your movement with the explosion of the dots to not take damage.
  • Other Info: Once Vesicle drops to 50% hp, this attack leaves bubbly residue that damages the player if the player makes contact with them. This residue can be destroyed by attacking.

Laser Beam: Shoots a laser beam in a 360° rotation around his body.
  • Indicator: Remains idle and squints his face. He is charging his laser.
  • Counter 1: Move on the left side of where Vesicle is facing, when he starts shooting the laser move to past where he started shooting it.
  • Counter 2: Follow the rotation of the laser so that it can't hit you. You must be close to Vesicle to do this.
  • Counter 3: There's a limit on the laser's distance, so if you must, run as far away as you can to outrun the laser.
  • Other Info: He always rotates counter-clockwise.

Purple Beetle Summons: Summons a horde of purple beetles below the arena that heal Vesicle upon touching him.
  • Indicator: Growls as a few rippled waves come off of his body.
  • Counter: As soon as you see the indicator, start shooting below the arena to kill the beetles as soon as possible.
  • Other Info: One beetle heals Vesicle for 100hp upon contact. The whole horde heals Vesicle up to 8,000hp.

Tips
  • Stay around the center of the arena. If Vesicle does his Black Holes attack, you can swiftly retreat to the other side of the arena to avoid taking damage.

Achievements
  • Vesicle Dead: Kill Vescile
    • Note: This is a typo with the achievement description, not with my guide. :)
  • Vesicle Erased: Never allow Vesicle to heal
  • The Law of Growth: Kill Vesicle without leaving the bridge

Video Demo
Eremite and Spectre
Mechanics
  • There are two enemies in this fight that rely on each other. When one dies the other falls much more easily.
  • Eremite dashes towards the player for as long as he's shot at. The only time this is not in effect is when Eremite is in the middle of attacking.
    • Simply stop shooting Eremite if he gets too close to you.
  • Once Spectre dies, Eremite becomes invisible much more frequently, and can become invisible during his other attacks.
  • Spectre always spirals counter-clockwise around the player out of the way of any bullets shot at him.
  • There's a bell at the top of this arena. To ring this bell you need to shoot consecutive shots at it.
    • Eremite: This bell makes Eremite completely invisible for the rest of the fight, including his amount of health.
    • Spectre: This bell completely heals Spectre's health.

Eremite's Attacks
Electricity: Releases electricity around his main body damaging anything inside the radius.
  • Indicator: Remains idle as a large grimace appears on his face.
  • Counter: Run away from the area around Eremite.
  • Other Info: You can take damage if you get too close to Eremite, without being inside the bubble.

Energy Ball: Shoots 4 slow-paced balls at the player.
  • Indicator: Remains idle and his cheeks briefly puff out.
  • Counter: Move out of the way of the balls. If need be you have enough time to move in between the balls.

Invisibility: Becomes invisible and circles around the player.
  • Indicator: Lets out a long, low hum and fades to invisible.
  • Counter: Shoot at the general direction Eremite is. A light blue glow forms indicating where he is.
  • Other Info: Always moves clockwise around the player.

Spectre's Attacks
Dash: Dashes towards the player.
  • Indicator: Lets out a "heh" sound as a large grin appears on his face.
  • Counter: Move out of the way.

Energy Ball: Shoots 5 fast-paced balls at the player.
  • Indicator: Remains idle and has a large grin on his face. Does not make a single noise.
  • Counter: Move out of the way of the balls.
  • Other Info: You have very little time to move between the balls unlike Eremite's version of this attack, so don't attempt that.

Healing Aura: Heals Eremite.
  • Indicator: Moves close to Eremite and releases a ripple effect of waves.
  • Counter: Get close to the two of them and Ignite, blasting Eremite away from Spectre's healing.
  • Other Info: Heals Eremite up to 3,600hp.

Tips
  • Kill Spectre first since he can heal Eremite and has harder attacks to dodge.
  • When it's just you and Eremite left, circle around Eremite until he starts attacking; then, shoot him the entire time he's attacking.

Achievements
  • Eremite and Spectre Dead: Kill Eremite and Spectre
  • Eremite and Spectre Erased: Kill Eremite first
  • The Law of Faith: Ring the bell

Video Demo
Furnace
Mechanics
  • Smelter's attack set is the same as Furnace's, except without the sword.
    • Furnace has 4 phases while Smelter has 2 phases. These phases are listed below:

Furnace's Phases:
  • Phase 1: Once Furnace drops to 60% hp, he starts glowing a slight orange and his attacks have greater reach. The borders of your screen also glow orange decreasing visibility.
  • Phase 2: Once Furnace drops to 40% hp, Smelter is summoned into the fight to assist Furnace.
  • Phase 3: Once Furnace drops to 20% hp, he glows a much brighter orange. This phase once again gives Furnace greater reach and speed while decreasing the player’s visibility.
  • Phase 4: Once Furnace drops to 0% hp, he blows up; for the rest of the match embers fly around the arena. These embers deal damage to the player upon impact, but can be blown up using Ignite.

Smelter's Phases:
  • Phase 1: If Furnace is dead, once Smelter drops to 60% hp, he picks up Furnace’s sword and gains all of Furnace’s attacks. These attacks replace Smelter’s previous attacks.
  • Phase 2: Once Smelter drops to 20% hp, he glows a much brighter orange. This phase gives Smelter greater reach and speed while decreasing the player’s visibility.

Furnace's Attacks
Lunge: Lunges at the player with his sword.
  • Indicator: Spins once.
  • Counter: Move to the side of the sword where Furnace is lunging at.

Spinning Lunge:
  • Indicator: Holds his sword to the left of him and releases a low groan.
  • Counter 1: Dodge through Furnace.
  • Counter 2: Move away from Furnace in a counter-clockwise direction to match his spin.

Sword Spin: Spins with the sword while slowly moving towards the player.
  • Indicator: His orifices start glowing orange and leaks smoke.
  • Counter: Move away from Furnace, if need be dodge away from him.
  • Other Info: Spins exactly 6 times.

Smelters's Attacks
Lunge: Lunges at the player.
  • Indicator: Spins once.
  • Counter: Move out of the way.

Spin: Spins while slowly moving towards the player.
  • Indicator: His orifices start glowing orange and leaks smoke.
  • Counter: Move away from Smelter, if need be dodge away from him.
  • Other Info: Spins exactly 6 times.

Spinning Lunge:
  • Indicator: Remains idle and releases a low groan.
  • Counter: Move out of the way.
  • Other Info: The spin is always counter-clockwise. This attack is essentially the same as Smelter's Lunge attack.

Tips
  • Don't get too close to Furnace / upgraded Smelter. You don't know when they're about to do the Lunge attack and the indicator to the attack may hit you
  • Even though Smelter is an advanced version of Furnace once Furnace dies, that fight is easier than having 2 bosses at once.

Achievements
  • Furnace Dead: Kill Furnace
  • Furnace Erased: Never allow Smelter to get the sword
  • The Law of Light: Never dodge when fighting Furnace and Smelter

Video Demo
Puppeteer
Mechanics
  • The giant puppet attacking you isn't actually the boss. As the name suggests, Puppeteer is controlling the puppet attacking you.
  • Clocks spawn around the map; once the clocks strike their final dial, a portal opens where the clock once was. This portal takes you to the body of the Puppeteer.
    • The clocks have 3 spawn locations. At the top of the map, at the very left side and at the very right side.

    • There is a time limit on how long the portals stay open. Because of this, it typically takes at least 3 entries to the Puppeteer's body's room to kill the boss.
      • To kill Puppeteer in 2 cycles, as soon as you enter the Puppeteer's body's room, dodge to the body and Ignite while constantly firing. Spam the Ignite button as it's about to be fully recharged.
      • You can only 2-cycle if you've already killed Migraine (you need the hyper upgrade).
      • Insert Video Here
    • When Puppeteer is spawning the clock, his eyes turn into the clocks and spin around. Once his eyes turn back to normal the clock has been spawned.
  • The Puppet hovers above the player, because of this it can be hard to see the area above the player.
  • Once Puppeteer drops to 50% hp, his attack speed doubles, and the player now gets a puppet string attached him, slowing movement down.

Attacks
Dial Strike: Summons a dial that implodes damaging the player inside the implosion circle.
  • Indicator: The puppet hovers immediately on top of the player as a piece of the clock’s dial appears on the player.
  • Counter: When the puppet starts hovering on top of you, start moving in a straight line. Even in the final stage you're fast enough to outrun the dial.
  • Other Info: The implosion happens ~3 seconds after it was summoned.

Evil Soot: Summons 6 soot balls in a circle around the player.
  • Indicator: Puppeteer's eyes turn black and he laughs.
  • Counter 1: Dealing damage stuns these enemies, so use your Ignite to stun all the soot balls at once.
  • Counter 2: If your Ignite is on cool-down, dodge through the soot balls and shoot at them.
  • Other Info: These soot balls can't die, but disappear after a few seconds.

Final Dial Strike: Summons a very large dial that implodes.
  • Indicator: A random series of dials appears in the center of the player's screen, and quickly grows in size. This attack only happens when the portal clock reaches it's final dial.
  • Counter: If you perfectly time a dodge while this attack deals damage, you will not take damage from it.
  • Other Info: This attack happens across the entire map, so you cannot outrun it unlike the Dial Strike attack.

Giant Eyes: Summons 2 - 5 giant eyes placed around the player that shoot out their pupils in the direction of the player.
  • Indicator: His eyes become empty and his mouth opens, making a slurp-like sound.
  • Counter: Get close to an eye after it releases it's pupil and shoot at it until it dies.
  • Other Info: The pupils can be shot back towards the eyes.

Tips
  • The top spawn location of the clock is where the player initially spawns. The clock can spawn there at the beginning, so wait a few seconds to make sure the clock doesn't spawn there.
    • This saves a lot of time if the clock does spawn once the player leaves.
  • It takes a lot of practice to find the timing for the Final Dial Strike. Just keep fighting Puppeteer until you learn this timing.
    • Once it gets close to dealing damage, I dodge two times in a row to increase my invulnerability time. So make sure your dodge meter is full once the clock is about to reach it's final dial.
  • The explode ability instantly takes out Giant Eyes. If you have a group of them, try to take them all out at once.
  • Because you have limited time in Puppeteer's Body's room, the most efficient way to do damage is to: Dodge to the body, use explosion immediately and start shooting.

Achievements
  • Puppeteer Dead: Kill Puppeteer
  • Puppeteer Erased: Never take damage from the clock
  • The Law of Mental Health: Do not dodge when fighting Puppeteer

Video Demo
Migraine
Mechanics
Migraine's Phases
  • Phase 1: Once Migraine drops to 66% hp, he grows slightly in size.
  • Phase 2: Once Migraine drops to 50% hp, he can shrink and grow the size of his outer ring.
  • Phase 3: Once Migraine drops to 33% hp, he grows significantly in size.

Ring Mechanics
  • To summon the Second Ring, you must dodge through the initial ring until the purple flash happens.
    • If you dodge back into the ring before the flash, the Second Ring will not be summoned.
  • Outer ring kills upon impact, the Second Ring deals 1 damage upon impact.
  • Cannot shoot through the outer ring, but can shoot through the Second Ring.

Dealing Damage
  • Migraine and the Shields he spawns cannot take damage by shooting them while they have their shells on.
    • To crack these shells, you must Ignite next to them.
  • You must crack Migraine's shell 4 times before he no longer has a shell.
  • When Migraine's shell or shields take damage, they release lots of slugs that move towards Migraine. These slugs damage the player if contact is made.
    • The final time you crack Migraine's shell, the slugs move in a spiral pattern as they return to Migraine, making them harder to dodge.

Attacks
Long Dash: Dashes consecutively at the player for several seconds.
  • Indicator: Green waves ripple off Migraine as he screeches.
  • Counter 1: Using your Ignite attack stuns Migraine when he long dashes.
  • Counter 2: Run or dodge away from Migraine.

Rotating Laser Beam: Releases a short laser beam in multiple directions from Migraine’s shell that rotates.
  • Indicator: Thin lights extend from Migraine, showing where the lasers are about to form.
  • Counter 1: Move out of reach of the lasers.
  • Counter 2: Rotate with the lasers.
  • Other Info: Migraine can change the direction he's rotating.

Shield Summon: Summons a shield to protect Migraine.
  • Indicator: Spins around in a circle.
  • Counter: You can use your Explosion attack to get rid of the shields.
  • Other Info: These shields cannot take damage from bullets or dodges. However, they break upon dealing damage to the player.

Tips
  • I find it easier to crack Migraine’s shell 4 times and focus on dodging the slugs each time before I start attacking.
  • While the slugs are travelling back to Migraine, you can either navigate through them, or dodge through them.
  • If Migraine has multiple shields at once, get them in close proximity then explode them all at once.

Achievements
  • Migraine Dead: Kill Migraine
  • Migraine Erased: Never take damage when fighting Migraine
  • The Law of Instinct: Summon the second ring

Video Demo
Totem
Mechanics
  • Totem always spirals around the player out of the way of any bullets shot at him. He changes the direction he spirals occasionally through the fight.
  • If you touch Totem, you take 3 bars of damage. Meaning if you're not at full health you will die.
  • Totem linearly gets faster as he takes more damage in the fight. His attack speed also increases with this.
  • Totem takes damage from his lasers until the player uses any damaging attacks against Totem.

Attacks
Light Blast: Blasts anything in a large radius around his body.
  • Indicator: A large radius of light appears around Totem and the area immediately around Totem turns black.
  • Counter: Dodge out of the blast radius.
  • Other Info: If you touch totem during this attack, you instantly die.

Stationary Laser: Places down an object emitting a laser on either side of it.
  • Indicator: Remains idle for a quick second before an object is placed down.
  • Counter 1: Use Ignite to immediately get rid of it.
  • Counter 2: Get close to the object and shoot it until it breaks.
  • Other Info: Totem takes damage from these until the player uses any damaging attacks.

Three Bombs: Shoots 3 consecutive bombs towards the player.
  • Indicator: Totem's "eye" becomes a horizontal line and he starts spiraling the opposite direction.
  • Counter 1: Move / dodge away from the bombs.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to propel the bombs away from the player.
  • Other Info: Once Totem has 66% hp left, this attack is replaced with the Three Triple Bombs attack.

Three Triple Bombs: Shoots 3 consecutive groups of 3 bombs at once.
  • Indicator: Totem's "eye" becomes a horizontal line and he starts spiraling the opposite direction.
  • Counter 1: Move / dodge away from the bombs.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to propel the bombs away from the player.
  • Other Info: This is a total of 9 bombs.

Tips
  • First off... Totem is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weirdo.
  • If you touch Totem, you die immediately if you're not at full health--so stay away from him if you can.
  • Totem’s bombs explode upon impact, so when he releases his bombs make sure to not touch them.

Achievements
  • Totem Dead: Kill Totem
  • Totem Erased: Never fire a bullet or explode when fighting Totem
  • The Law of Repentance: Do not dodge when fighting Totem

Video Demo
Glass Master
Mechanics
  • Once Glass Master drops to 50% hp, two ranges of glass shards rise in the middle of the arena. Touching these glass ranges damages the player.
  • The glass minions typically travel towards the direction of Glass Master.

Attacks
Random Shots: Shoots a glass crystal at you from a random location, then teleports to a new random location to shoot another glass crystal.
  • Indicator: Teleports to a random location in the arena and a large blue circle briefly appears around him.
  • Counter 1: Slowly move / dodge against the direction of the shots.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to destroy the glass shards.
  • Other Info: This process is repeated 1 - 3 times.

Rapid Fire: Shoots 8 consecutive shots towards the player in fast succession.
  • Indicator: Teleports to a random location in the arena and a large blue circle briefly appears around him.
  • Counter 1: Slowly move / dodge against the direction of the shots.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to destroy the glass shards.

Teleportation: Teleports behind you and deals damage in a small circle around Glass Master’s body.
  • Indicator: Glass Master disappears from the arena and a faint green circle appears behind where the player is facing.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the green circle.
  • Other Info: A glass minion spawns in the arena every time Glass Master does this attack.

Tips
  • Glass Master’s indicators are very hard to see because they’re the same color as the arena. For this reason, the only time I use the explosion attack is immediately after Glass Master’s Teleportation. There is a small cool-down before he can teleport again.

Achievements
  • Glass Master Dead: Kill Glass Master
  • Glass Master Erased: Never take damage when fighting Glass Master
  • The Law of Space: Never dodge when fighting Glass Master

Video Demo
The Silenced
Mechanics
  • The more damage The Silenced takes, the more the arena fills with fog. By the end of the fight, it is incredibly difficult to see The Silenced unless you are on top of him.
  • There is a much smaller arena at the top of the starting arena. This arena allows you to deal double damage to The Silenced.
  • The Silenced moves incredibly fast towards the player for as long as he's not shot at. Shooting at him makes him significantly slower.

Attacks
Death Light: The boss’s mask flies away from him. A large circle around the mask & boss deals damage to anything in it after 2 seconds.
  • Indicator: A large circle of light appears around the mask and the boss's body.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the light radius.

Death Mask: The boss’s mask flies away from him. A large circle around the mask deals damage to anything in it after 2 seconds.
  • Indicator: A large circle of light appears around the mask.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the light radius.
  • Other Info: The advanced version of this attack is Death Light, which happens later in the fight.

Light Shots: Shoots 5 balls at the player in quick succession.
  • Indicator: Moves away from the player shortly while he's firing these shots.
  • Counter: Move / dodge out of the way of the balls.

Mask Toss: Throws the mask in the direction of the player.
  • Indicator: The Silenced moves back with the mask slightly, and visually looks like he's about to throw it.
  • Counter 1: Move on the left side of where The Silenced is facing to manually dodge the mask.
  • Counter 2: Dodge though The Silenced.
  • Other Info: The Silenced moves a large distance with this toss, so moving away from him is not a good idea.

Spiral Dash: Dashes towards the player.
  • Indicator: Spirals around the player once.
  • Counter 1: Dodge through the attack.
  • Counter 2: Ignite to propel The Silenced Away.

Teleportation Dash: Teleports to the other side of the player then dashes towards the player.
  • Indicator: A strobe-like pattern of light appears around The Silenced in the moments before he teleports.
  • Counter 1: He comes from behind, so move / dodge out of the way as soon as he teleports.
  • Counter 2: Ignite to propel The Silenced Away.
  • Other Info: You can use this to manipulate where The Silenced teleports to.

Tips
  • There is a way to deal double damage to The Silenced, but you should know all of the boss’s attacks and how to counter consistently them before you do this.
    • The area at the top of the map allows you to do increased damage to The Silenced, however the arena is much smaller.
    • The masks surrounding the arena always face towards where The Silenced is.
  • Constantly dodge through The Silenced. He has lots of attacks where he dashes at you, so dodging is integral to this fight.

Achievements
  • The Silenced Dead: Kill The Silenced
  • The Silenced Erased: Kill The Silenced within 60 seconds
  • The Law of Knowledge: Kill The Silenced before killing Migraine

Video Demo
Scourge
Mechanics
Overall
  • There are 3 healing crystals on the left, right, and bottom sides of the arena. These crystals give Scourge a very fast healing rate.
    • These crystals represent the souls of the 9 previous bosses you fought.
    • It's not necessary to break all 9, breaking 6 significantly reduces Scourge's healing rate.
Body of the Scourge
  • Beetles continuously spawn this entire phase of the fight. The more damage the body takes and/or the more healing crystals that are broken, the quicker beetles spawn in the arena.
Limbs of the Scourge
  • There are 3 enemies in the arena that simultaneously attack the player.
  • Each limb can spiral around the player to get a better vantage point for attacking. This is especially dangerous when all 3 limbs are on different sides of the player.
  • The limbs constantly move towards the player, but significantly slow down when being attacked.
Eye of the Scourge
  • Once the Eye drops to 66% hp, he summons a bunch of evil bubble-looking objects on the outskirts of the arena. These objects deal damage to the player when contact is made. Unlike most other objects in the game, these cannot be destroyed.
  • Once the Eye drops to 66% hp, he also gets significantly faster, along with his attack speeds.

Body of the Scourge's Attacks
Front Limb Stomp: The body's back limb quickly strikes the ground when the player gets too close.
  • Indicator: The limb raises up.
  • Counter: Stay away from the main body.

Homing Circle: A slow-moving circle follows the player’s movement until the circle blows up.
  • Indicator: A purple circle outline is placed on the ground.
  • Counter: Move away from the circle.

Left Limb Stomp: The body's left limb quickly strikes the ground when the player gets too close.
  • Indicator: The limb raises up.
  • Counter: Stay away from the main body.

Right Limb Stomp: The body's right limb quickly strikes the ground when the player gets too close.
  • Indicator: The limb raises up.
  • Counter: Stay away from the main body.

Limbs of the Scourge's Attacks
Large Homing Circle: A large fast-moving circle follows the player until it blows up.
  • Indicator: A ripple effect comes off the limb's body and a purple circle outline is generated on the limb.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the circle.
  • Other Info: Each limb can independently do this attack; meaning you can have 3 homing circles in the arena at once.

Scythe Spin: Spins around in a circle with its scythe several times while slowly moving towards the player.
  • Indicator: Portions of the limb starts glowing white.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the limb.

Eye of the Scourge's Attacks
Homing Missiles: Releases a series of purple missiles towards the player that somewhat follow the player.
  • Indicator: Remains idles and lets out a shriek.
  • Counter: Stay close to the Eye’s front side, the missiles can’t reach you from here.

Quick Homing Circle: A large homing circle that moves and deals damage very fast.
  • Indicator: The Eye's pupil goes in the center of his eye and a purple circle forms on the eye.
  • Counter: Dodge away from the circle.

Scythe Slice: Dashes towards the player with its scythe; then releases a small homing circle on either side of the Eye.
  • Indicator: Faces the player holding a black/purple scythe on the side of it.
  • Counter: Dodge through the eye.

Tips
  • Break the crystals on each side of the arena. There are 3 crystals on the left side, 3 on the right side, and 3 on the bottom. It is much more difficult to kill Scourge with these crystals active.
    • My preferred order for breaking crystals: Left side, right side, bottom.
  • After you break the 9 crystals, I focus completely on attacking the Body while I use the Ignite attack and dodge to deal with the beetles.
    • The beetles disappear as soon as the Body dies.
  • Stay away from Scourge as much as you can. Keep your distance from the Body, the Limbs, and the Eye of the Scourge
  • You can sometimes get the Limbs of the Scourge into a cycle where they can't move. To do this:
    • Make sure to kill the Body of the Scourge near the bottom of the arena. Move lower if you did not do this.
    • When you initially get put into this part of the Scourge fight, shoot up immediately.
    • Since attacking slows them down and they're too far away from you to circle around you, they're stuck slowly moving towards you!
    • Slowly move progressively down as the fight continues so they don't get too close.
    • If they get out of this cycle, start fighting them regularly.

Achievements
  • Scourge Dead: Kill Scourge
  • Scourge Erased: Kill Scourge without exploding
  • The Law of Entropy: Do not destroy any crystals

Video Demo
Literally Eight Bears (Hidden)
Mechanics
  • To go to this boss arena: Press 'b' eight times.
  • There are eight enemies in the arena.
  • Each enemy can attack independently.
  • Each enemies spirals around the player to get a better vantage point.
  • Shooting the enemies significantly slows them down.
  • You instantly die upon coming into contact with any of the bears!

Attacks
Dash: Dashes towards the player in a single direction.
  • Indicator: A red aura appears around the bear and a ripple effect trails behind the bear.
  • Counter 1: Shoot the enemies dashing at you to slow them down.
  • Counter 2: Ignite to propel the enemies away from you.
  • Counter 3: Move / dodge away from the direction the enemies are dashing towards.

Tips
  • This fight isn’t hard. The enemies literally only have one attack. There are just 8 large enemies in the arena.
  • Save your dodge for when you're cornered and must dodge away to survive.
  • Try to get as many bears in your Ignite as possible. This was deal a lot of damage.
    • The most damage I've dealt with a single Ignite was ~16,000hp, and that was hitting 6/8 bears.

Achievements
  • Eight Bears Dead: Kill Eight Bears
  • Eight Bears Hunted: Kill Eight Bears using only explosions

Video Demo
Dying Ember (Hidden)
Mechanics
  • To unlock this boss you must get the "The Law of Entropy" achievement.
    • (Kill Scourge without breaking any of his healing crystals).
  • All of Dying Ember’s attacks instantly kill the player. You start the fight with 1 health, but even at full health these attacks instantly kill.
    • The only exception to this rule is his Weeping Dash attack. Dying Ember only deals 1 damage when he bumps into you, because this attack is to help Dying Ember bump into you, it only deals one damage as well.

Attacks
BFL (Big Fn Laser): Shoots a very thick and long laser at the player.
  • Indicator: Closes his eyes and makes a quick humming noise. Slightly shakes as well.
  • Counter: Dodge perpendicular to the way Dying Ember is facing. Dodge as soon as you hear the indicator.

Flame Circles: Teleports above the arena and creates a circle of flames above each boss teleportation insignia.
  • Indicator: Teleports above the arena and all the boss insignia's turn a dark red.
  • Counter: Move away from the boss insignia's.

Soul Explosion: Throws the souls of the other 10 bosses towards the player which almost immediately explodes into large blast radii.
  • Indicator: The souls appear next to Dying Ember's body and he squints his eyes.
  • Counter: Dodge to the other side of the arena.

Weeping Dash: Quickly dashes towards the player.
  • Indicator: Opens his mouth very wide and makes a hawk-like shriek.
  • Counter 1: Ignite to propel Dying Ember away.
  • Counter 2: Dodge away from Dying Ember.

Tips
  • This is the hardest boss fight in the game. Even if you know all of the attacks and how to dodge them, you will still die a lot. If you get too angry just leave and come back later.
  • Use sound queues, a lot of attacks damage near instantly (such as BFL).
  • Stay close enough to Dying Ember so that all your bullets land, but far enough away that you can easily dodge. This is especially needed with his Weeping Dash attack.
  • You will be dodging a lot in this fight. Dying Ember's Flame Circles attack is the best opportunity to recharge your dodge.
  • I would use the Flame Circle attack to recharge your dodge AND regenerate health. Most of my deaths are due to the Weeping Dash attack and this would save you against that.
  • Move around the arena in an elliptical shape for best dodging ability. Do not go into either ends of the arena.

Achievements
  • Dying Ember Dead: Kill Dying Ember
  • Dying Ember Extinguished: Only use explosions when killing Dying Ember

Video Demo
Easy Progenitor
New Mechanics
  • Easy Progenitor has a minion that constantly chases the player around the arena. This makes dodging his beetle summons attacks harder, as well as preventing the option to heal.
    • The minion cannot take damage nor die, it can however be propelled away for a short time by using the Ignite attack.
    • The last round of the gun has an ability to shoot through other enemies, but it can not shoot through the minion.

Tips
  • I recommend saving your Ignite to propel the minion away instead of Progenitor's other attacks. This makes it easier to harm Progenitor and potentially can save you from getting hit from the minion.

Video Demo
Easy Vesicle
Attack Differences
Laser Beam: Shoots a long laser beam in the direction of the player while circling.
  • Indicator: Remains idle and squints his face; he is charging his laser. A purple circle encloses on the player at the same time. As soon as this circle touches the player, Easy Vesicle fires his laser. You must dodge through this to not take damage.
  • Counter 1: There's a limit on the laser's distance, so to refill your dodge meter, run as far away as you can to outrun the laser.
  • Counter 2: Dodge as soon as the purple circle is about to make contact with the player. Dodge 1 - 2 more times through the laser as he spins around.
  • Counter 3: Follow the rotation of the laser so that it can't hit you. You must be close to Vesicle to do this.
  • Other Info: Vesicle makes two 360° rotations before stopping the laser.

Tips
  • Don’t focus on the purple beetles as much as you did in normal mode. It’s expected that Vesicle will heal a few times in this fight, so take it easy and slow.
  • Once again, taking it slow is key in this fight. Always wait for your dodge meter to fill up—you will definitely need it to beat this fight.

Video Demo
Easy Eremite and Spectre
New Mechanics
  • The bell is innately rung at the beginning of the match: Both Easy Eremite and Easy Spectre are completely invisible for this entire fight, including their health bar.
    • Easy Spectre has a habit of becoming visible semi-often during this fight.

Tips
  • The attack patterns have not changed; the only difference is that both bosses are invisible. So play this how you would play it on normal mode. Focus Spectre, then once he's dead take out Eremite.
  • The "The Law of Faith" achievement prepares you to do this fight. If you haven't done it yet, I recommend doing that achievement. This fight will be much easier once you achieve it.

Video Demo
Easy Furnace
New Mechanics
  • Embers fly around the arena for the entire fight. These embers deal damage to the player upon impact, but can be blown up using Ignite.
  • The sword that Easy Furnace / Smelter use is vastly longer than normal Furnace & Smelter.

Furnace's Attack Differences
Sword Spin: Spins with the sword while slowly moving towards the player.
  • Indicator: His orifices start glowing orange and leaks smoke. He also starts strafing around the player before spinning.
  • Counter: Move away from Furnace, if need be dodge away from him.
  • Other Info: Spins exactly 6 times. The only difference between Easy Furnace and normal Furnace is the addition to the indicator.

Tips
  • Stay away from Furnace for as much as you can. The sword is a lot longer than it looks.
  • Always dodge when you get semi-close to him, since when Furnace starts spinning you will take damage if you’re too close.
  • Use your explosion to get rid of the embers if there are too many of them on screen.

Video Demo
Easy Puppeteer
Attack Differences
Giant Eyes: Summons 2 - 5 giant eyes placed around the player that shoot out their pupils in the direction of the player.
  • Indicator: His eyes become empty and his mouth opens, making a slurp-like sound.
  • Counter: Move away from the eye.
  • Other Info: The eyes cannot die, however their pupils can still be shot back.

Tips
  • You beat the boss the same way as normal Puppeteer, but the two main differences are that his attack speed is greatly increased, and you can’t kill the Giant Eyes.
  • Always keep your dodge meter full, you’ll need it.
  • In normal Puppeteer, you stay around the clock once you found it. For Easy Puppeteer, stay as far away from the clock as you can until the Final Dial Strike.
  • Since you can’t kill the Giant Eyes, stay in one obscure location of the map until Puppeteer spawns them, then move to where they can’t hit you. This is the best method to survive until the portal to Puppeteer’s body opens.
  • When Puppeteer spawns the Evil Soot, instead of holding down the shoot button gently spray your bullets. This ensures that you have enough bullets to stun all of the enemies since there is a cool-down between bullet rounds.

Video Demo
Easy Migraine
New Mechanics
  • Migraine innately starts with his second ring already summoned.

Tips
  • This is basically the The Law of Instinct achievement. If you got that achievement already this should be a breeze.
  • Stay inside both of the rings, only go out of the inner one when necessary.

Video Demo
Easy Totem
Attack Differences
Four Bombs:
  • Indicator: Totem's "eye" becomes a horizontal line and he starts spiraling the opposite direction.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the bombs.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to propel the bombs away from the player.
  • Other Info: Once Totem has 66% hp left, this attack is replaced with the Four Triple Bombs attack.

Four Triple Bombs: Shoots 4 consecutive groups of 3 bombs at once.
  • Indicator: Totem's "eye" becomes a horizontal line and he starts spiraling the opposite direction.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the bombs.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to propel the bombs away from the player.
  • Other Info: This is a total of 12 bombs.

Tips
  • Totem is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weirdo...
  • I recommend Igniting Totem's Stationary Lasers as soon as he places them down.

Video Demo
Easy Glass Master
New Mechanics
  • Once Glass Master drops to 75% hp, two ranges of glass shards rise in the middle of the arena. Touching these glass ranges damage the player.
  • Glass Master is moving very quickly towards the player, and only slows down when shot at.
Attack Differences
Random Shots: Shoots a glass crystal at you from a random direction, then teleports to a new random direction to shoot another glass crystal.
  • Indicator: Teleports to a random area in the arena and a large blue circle briefly appears around him.
  • Counter 1: Slowly move / dodge against the direction of the shots.
  • Counter 2: Use Ignite to destroy the glass shards.
  • Other Info: This process is repeated exactly 4 times.

Tips
  • Since he attacks faster than normal Glass Master, anytime he uses his Teleportation attack always dodge the opposite direction. This basically ensures you won’t get hit by it.

Video Demo
Easy The Silenced
Attack Differences
Rapid Light Shots: Shoots a constant series of balls at the player in quick succession.
  • Indicator: Moves away from the player shortly while he's firing these shots.
  • Counter 1: Move / dodge out of the way of the balls.
  • Counter 2: Pray to God none of the balls hit you...
  • Other Info: The Silenced can chain this attack back-to-back.

Tips
  • Always keep moving, and keep your distance from this boss! If The Silenced gets too close to you and you're not moving he can instantly kill you with his Rapid Light Shots attack.
  • All of his attacks besides Death Mask have very audible sound indicators. If you hear a brief pause of noise in his attack, assume this is the next attack. This has saved my life more times than I can count...
  • The way to deal double damage to The Silenced is still available. Use this as a last resort if you cannot beat The Silenced in the bigger arena. I recommend against it, but you might surprise yourself. :)

    Video Demo
Easy Scourge
New Mechanics
Overall
  • A bunch of evil bubble-looking objects are summoned on the outskirts of the arena. These objects deal damage to the player when contact is made. Unlike most other objects in the game, these cannot be destroyed.
    • These are the same objects from the end of the normal Scourge fight.

Limbs of the Scourge's Attack Differences
Large Homing Circle: A very large fast-moving circle follows the player until it blows up.
  • Indicator: A ripple effect comes off the limb's body and a purple circle outline is generated on the limb.
  • Counter: Move / dodge away from the circle.
  • Other Info: Same attack as normal Limbs', but larger and much faster-paced.

Eye of the Scourge's Attack Differences
Homing Missiles: Releases a series of purple missiles towards the player that somewhat follow the player.
  • Indicator: Remains idles and lets out a shriek.
  • Counter: Get as far away from the Eye as you can, unlike the normal Eye's attack.
  • Other Info: These missiles fly in the direction of the player and circle around the eye once before dissipating.

Tips
  • To break the healing crystals, you need to dodge through the bubble-looking objects, break the crystals, then dodge back through. I recommend waiting until the Homing Circle happened before doing this.
  • There are ideal spots to break the crystals, so the middle path isn’t always the best to dodge through the objects. My ideal paths are down below.
    • Left crystals: Top
    • Bottom crystals: Middle
    • Right crystals: Top
      • Be cautious of the Body’s limb attacks for this path.
    • I recommend doing the right crystals first, then the left, then the bottom.

Video Demo
Easy Literally Eight Bears (Hidden)
Attack Differences
Healing: Heals when you use your Ignite attack on any of the bears.
  • Counter: Don't use your Ignite attack.

Tips
  • Only use your Ignite attack when you need to make an escape and cannot dodge.

Achievements
  • Extinction: Kill Eight Bears in Easy Mode

Video Demo
Easy Dying Ember (Hidden)
Tips
  • The attacks are the same, just make sure to constantly watch your dodge bar and keep it filled. (Do not attack if your dodge bar is empty)!
  • When Dying Ember uses his Flame Circle, use this time to recharge your dodge meter. This is the only free time you’ll have in the fight to do so.

@nobody_at_all I will try posting a new video every couple of days so stay tuned! :)

@ok I was planning on uploading an achievement guide as well as this attack patterns guide. But to be honest with you... just practice. There is no cheat or hidden thing to do this. You just need to practice and get down all of ember's attacks and slowly chip away his health.
ok 22 Feb, 2023 @ 12:16am

@big bean
Under the Migraine section it tells you how to summon the second ring: "If you dodge out of Migraine’s ring, he summons a second smaller ring on the inside of the original one."

If you're talking about the achievement to summon the second ring. You must kill Migraine after you summoned the second ring.
