[UES] The HMS Lichtenberg - A Battery Powered Scout Submarine

Description
Overview
A solely battery-powered scout-class submarine built around a central computer which allows the captain to toggle some sub-systems on or off to conserve power. Features three chaingun turrets, twin engines and an emergency backup generator for recharging batteries outside of stations.

The name is based off a Lichtenberg generator, a type of highly dangerous homemade electrical generator used to create fractal patterns in different materials. I picked it because it's an electrical generator people accidentally kill themselves with quite often, also because the provincial government won't stop sending me ads warning me about how dangerous they are because people keep seriously injuring themselves with one jesus christ I already know stop sending me these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ads.

Weaponry
-Two top mounted chainguns
-One low mounted chaingun, located on the bow

Features
The Lichtenberg is a fully electrical submarine powered off of four batteries located in engineering. This means that it forgoes the traditional need for fuel rods and has a lower noise profile than a traditional submarine, although it does come at some costs. The Lichtenberg is equipped with a regex-based terminal system which allows the captain control over the status of several sub-systems in order to conserve power. The status of each system will be easily identifiable by the red lights on the nav terminal. Red means on, nothing means off.

These include:
-The ability to toggle fabricators on or off
-The ability to toggle life support on or off
-The ability to toggle supercapacitor charging on or off
-The ability to toggle engines and ballast pumps off

All of these will announce a change in chat when toggled to alert your crew to the change in system status. The captain also has access to a lever in the bridge which allows them to toggle all non-emergency lights off in order to conserve a little more power.

Tips
-Most sub-systems do not consume much power when idle. The two exceptions are the oxygen generators and lights (The lights consume very little power, but do so constantly), since these systems are almost always running at full capacity compared to the fabricators or weapons. Toggling them off if you have spare oxygen tanks is a good idea to conserve power if you are far from friendly stations.

-If your batteries ever get too low, you could get stranded without a means of moving unless you can figure out a means to generate power. If you are low on charge, park your sub somewhere safe and toggle each system off before starting the backup generator. The power output of the backup generator located below the bridge is not high enough to run the entire sub, but just high enough to charge your batteries on minimal power usage.

-All turret bases onboard are swappable. This is your decision as to whether you would prefer something more effective than a chain-gun. These turrets were picked because of their relatively low power use, but you are able to replace them at any station should you wish.

Disclaimer
Being battery powered means this sub will be the most hit or miss in terms of balance of any of my previous submarines. This means it could have either too much power or too little, but probably the latter. Obviously fair warning, since I can't guarantee a balanced experience.

hey there, it seems there is a pump missing in the engine room

Some missing container tags: medcab, medfabcab and toxcab for medical cabinet. reactorcab for the crate by the backup generator.

Several device power is lost when the ship is docked to the station
It is oxygen generator, a oxygenshelf, a fabricator, a deconstructor, etc
I do not make a sub, so I do not know well, but was it designed intended?

Also, please be aware that the super capacitors (located next to the gunner periscopes) are not automated, and will thus fry your junction boxes once they are fully charged. So Remember to turn their charging off once they reach 100%

I have played the older version once more to great success. We would drain the engine floods into the balast using a plasma cutter. We ignored the inaccessible O2 and bought more to replace it. The sub is a ton of fun, and I'm sure the edits you made will make it even easier to enjoy. Great sub! Fun play style.

WARNING: BRING EXTRA FUEL RODS - especially if you plan on taking on 2+ missions. Don't be afraid to turn off your o2, don't forget to charge up your batteries fully when you dock, and don't underestimate the value of battery upgrades and upgrades to things like engine efficiency! Battery charge rate is less important than battery capacity.

Should be fixed as of right now. Would have gotten to it earlier but I was at work.

Issue one is caused by water physics acting weird due to lots of gaps and separate hulls. This usually occurs in moonpools where the builder is purposefully exploiting the system. In this case, I believe that I fixed it by simplifying the room layout to reduce the number of hulls and gaps in the room shape. Partially my fault due to the room I chose, but also a result of jank in the flooding system.

Issue two was not my fault. The curved hull pieces in the sub editor have hitboxes that are way outside their original models, meaning there was a shell hitbox covering the oxygen tank shelf even though it didn't look like it was. I moved it to the side to allow easy access and confirmed that it should work properly now.

Issues - pretty serious ones, and not so serious ones.

1. The engine room gets permanently flooded with water, constatntly damaging engines. If you enter the room, you have no way of escaping once it has flooded once, unless you go limp and get dragged out.

2. There's a small oxygen shelf with inaccessible storage in the air lock.

3. number 1 makes this ship borderline unplayable - a single leak can potentially ruin your entire run with no reasonable means to prevent it. You would need a handheld pump or something. Let me know if you know about these issues.

pretty neat and again very well decorated.i really like your style
