The video on this page is actually the extended version. It showcases the sad hyper-exaggerated tale of a Porcupine with short stubby legs.

When the 'quills' of the Porcupine are extended, enemy artificial intelligence targeting automatically shoots at its turrets. Having them be extended away from the main body significantly reduces the chance that the hull will take any damage. When the decoy dongle is fully extended, nothing of note happens. It's purely for the intimidation factor.

I engineered this rover during my survival playthrough of Escape From Mars as an ice hauler and my main offensive against G-corp. I had to totally wipe the timer blocks for the upload because they were too wonky. It's not too hard to set them up again though, as the velocity settings on all hinges/pistons/rotors are all set to get to work. You should ignore the automated 'safe' tag that SE generated. There is nothing safe about this grid.

Joking aside, I have had zero Klang with this rig except for one time when I rolled backwards down that one mountain with the airbase, and over half the rover was gone anyways.
