Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico is an historically important building located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The building was the brainchild of a group of citizens, known as the Asociación del Casino de Puerto Rico, who requested then San Juan mayor Francisco del Valle Atiles a place to establish a new social club. The building was designed by Montilla & Ferrer in the Beaux Arts architecture style and construction began in 1913. The Casino was finally inaugurated on July 24, 1917.

The casino features gardens, balconies, moldings, white marble floors, and a grand central staircase. One of its distinguished features is the ballroom's twelve-foot chandelier.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

This asset was commissioned by Bastet for his city build of San Theodoros, a fictional country located in South America. San Theodoros is a prototypical banana republic coming straight from the universe of world-famous Belgian comic series Tintin.

All models use the same textures so if you use the Loading Screen mod the textures will be shared by all the elements and this will reduce any load on your machine.

The original building features steps descending from the entrance to the road. Rather than building these steps into the main building I have created a separate 'Steps' prop which can be added once that casino is plopped in game. The casino can be lowered into the ground without the terrain 'flattening' so any landscaping to allow for the entrance steps can be done without the main building being effected.

Colour variation is built in to both assets and subtle variations have been set. The 'Steps' prop has no colours set to avoid it having different colours to the main building, however, if the Repaint mod is used the colours can be matched or completely bespoke.

The casino can be found in the 'Monuments Level I' tab.

I've tried to make this asset as beautiful as the real building and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.
