Description
If you find any problems with the airplane then please write down below!

So folks i can proudly say that after so many months of building my first release of my Mossy is finally here!

I do wana say that there is still some small things and details that is yet to be finished such as the R1155 and t1154 radio systems. And the full finished airplane with these radios working 100% wont be released for a while biggest reason being the complex system behind these radios, and i am pretty sure that these wont be updated for quite some time.
But in retrospect all other systems and functions work 95% so you wont really notice the missing pieces.

I wont go in to the history i fell that if you want to learn more just google "De Havilland Mosquito and you will get more info that i could ever inform about.

Now this airplane have "Alot" of systems i have tried to get close to everything buttons and dial wise that the real airplane did back in the 40s, and i do wana say that i think i have gotten extremly close.

Airplane Specs in Stormworks.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Crew: Pilot, Naviagtor

-Engine: 25 Cyl 2 stage supercharged X2

-Speed: 335 Mph Low Supercharger gear
375 Mph High Supercharger gear

"OBS" Keep in mind high supercharger gear will overheat engine eventually
so turn it back to low gear when u are getting close to 115c

-Total Fuel: With drop tanks: 2280
Without drop tanks: 1708
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features that you should know about before flying:

1. both engines have fire extinguishers located at the right instrument panel all the way back labeled "Port and Stbd"

2. On the right instrument panel there is a switch called "Fuel Pump (Long range tanks) this is for the middle fuel tanks
if you are flying longer flights then you will after a while switch from wing tanks to inner tanks using the fuel handles
u can also turn on the "Fuel pump" switch this will fill the inner tanks with the middle tanks fuel so you get max range that this airplane got to offer.

3. to quickly reset the 3 different trimm tabs (Pitch, Yaw, Roll) press both trimm tab buttons and it will reset 0
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want a video showing the different functions of the plane then take a look at the linked youtube video
it is from a youtuber called "grim reaper" that does an showcase on the mosquito in the game dcs one video that i
used alot to build this plane.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Startup Procedure:

1. Enter Airplane thruh door located at at the right front of the fuselage

2. Behind pilot there is some switches.
--1.Turn on "Fuel Handle port" so both port and stbd are pointed outwards this enables wing tanks

--2. Turn on "Fuel Tank Pressurization" this will pressurise the the fuel tanks so you get flow to the engines

--3 (Optiona) Turn on "Fuel Transfer Valve" this will force fuel from the drop tanks to the wing tanks, the drop tanks dont have dials to show current fuel level. But you can check the wing tanks dials if they dont move when engine is running then you have fuel in the drop tanks. when the dials on the wing tanks start to go down then drop tanks is empty. if you then want to jettison the empty tanks for more speed u have the button to the pilots left front called "Wing tank jettison"

2. Switch on "Master Power Switch" located at the front instrument panel to the right this gives the airplane power from the battery

3. Set propeller pitch to 1 using button 3 on pilots seat

4. Set Throttle to 0.1325 this will give 12-14 rps with propeller in 1 position

5. Start the engine you like first by switching the 2 magneto switches for each engine located at the front instrument panel to the right

6. Turn on Rad Flap for both engines (This turns on the radiator fans)

7. Once everything is set you can start the engines. Hold the "Starter" button for the engine you want to start then hit "Boost coil" this will give extra power to the starter motors giving enough rps to start.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takeoff Procedure

1. Turn on "Parking Brake"

2. Press button 4 to lower the propeller pitch the airplane should start to more forward, if needed throttle up to keep the rps at 12-14 and move to the takeoff location.

3. Once u ready to takeoff lower flaps to 30 degrees dial is just infront of the pilot.

4. (Optional) turn on stabelizers located under the "Reflector Sight" this gives much better control for a takeoff.

5. Trimm yaw to stbd 0.011 is the best that i have found
(OBS) keep these settings for straight flying

6. turn back propeller pitch to get moving and once rps get low add throttle and then keep doing this until you have s stable takeoff then you can set propeller pitch to 0 and ad max throttle.

7. retract landing gear switch is found infront of pilot.

8. set flaps back to 0 degrees.

9. (Optional) hold current altitude button is located left and lower down to the pilot.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Singel Engine flying:

if lets say the left engine is damaged or perhaps the fuel is empty for that engine and it is starting to go out then jump in the yaw trimm tab.

For singel engine flight with one engine at max throttle then the start yaw trimm is around 0.74 in trimm.
this will not garauntee straight flight so trimm in both direction until you find a softspot.
the best way to get it straight is to add a waypoint 5 km in front of you and the gunsight if it stops to move left or right then the trimm it correct set.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting back from singel to twin engine flight

so the engine that went out is able to start again?

well its a pretty easy fix turn the propeller pitch to 1 set engine to 0.1325 and start it back up then you need to match the trimm and the engine. This is pretty hard to do "Smooth" i have never dont that the quickest way is to just set trimm to 0.5 use seat yaw to counter and then put the engine to lowest pitch add max throttle, then press both port and stbd trimm tab this will reset it back to 0. and dont forget to set trimm to 0.011
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quick Weapon guide

1. if you want to use the guns turn on "Master Arm Switch" and you use the trigger button for firing

2. "Bombs" i added the bombs to "Master Arm Switch" this is not the case in real life but it is an added safety feature in stormworks so you dont drop them by mistake. the bomb instrument panel is located closest to the door, the current added bombs is located inside the airplane
so you will use ""Selector 3 and 4"" the bombs used have a ""nose fuse"" so select "All Bombs Fusing .NOSE"

3. to bomb set "Master Arm Switch" to ON and set "Bomb Doors" to ON

4. fly in to your target from a height at a angel hold button 2 on pilot seat and then pull up
(OBS) you need to pull up when you release the bombs otherwise they will get stuck.

5. close bomb bay (Mission succesfull)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Radio system

Wip some simpel functions does work atm but there is things left to do so i will let you explore this feature for yourself for now until a manual is made.

I recommand to watch the linked youtube video it will give you alot of information or just google "r1155 and t1154 radio.

i just managed an arctic flight with the private saved version
FlyingOsprey 15 Sep, 2022 @ 3:05am
So i just saved it as a private vehicle and it worked. but it also inverted the direction the prop control goes. so plus goes backwards. this is weird and kinda funny!

nvm tested the workshop version seems there is something wrong with it, Added a new version that i havent added yet with a new prob function and engines should now work :)

so checked it myself but i found no issues started right up, follow the startup procedure and it should work fine.

Mhm weird maybe some off the newer updates have changed the engines in some way il have a look at it later 👌🏻

might be fuel tank pressurizention that needs to be turned on
FlyingOsprey 12 Sep, 2022 @ 12:24pm
i checked the fuel pumps and they stop receiving fuel after a few seconds
