NostOs - Project Redemption Addon

Description
Preface:
This mod pretty much serves both as integration between the NostOS's intro mission and Project Redemption, making alterations to better fit canon lore, as well as being a Protectorate ship replacer addon to the NostOS. Features include:
  • The replacement of some loot items in the NostOS intro to bring it in line with the vanilla intro, notably the procedurally generated pistol and the poster have been swapped out for the Damaged Handgun and some salves respectively.
  • The introduction of two new items; a new unique weapon and codex, both replacing the procedurally generated dagger and the Terrene Protectorate Field Guide codex respectively.
  • Changes to the dialogue present in the NostOS intro mission and its cinematics for the sake of keeping with canon lore and Project Redemption's additions to it, this has unfortunately meant that the narration in the start of the first cinematic had to be disabled.
  • A couple minor object additions to the NostOS intro.
  • The NostOS ship has been replaced with Flogeno's Protectorate ship, as it's more unique and makes more sense for the intro. As a bonus the NostOS ship pet is now an Orbis instead of a cat.
  • As a bonus tweak, NostOS characters craft non-racial armor sets instead of Human ones now, although they no longer have any tier 6 sets as a result (the Perfect set can be used to fill in that gap thankfully).

Note:
Given the addition of a "lost and found" npc in Project Redemption who sells the Damaged Handgun, and the fact that this mod does disable the voice narration at the very start of the NostOS intro as well as replacing the default NostOS ship, this mod can be considered completely optional. If you're a person like me who's obsessed with consistency in even the most minor of things, and also are bothered by the lack of their own armor sets and ship pet though, you'll probably want this mod if you're playing the NostOS.

Credits: Pixelflame for the mod thumbnail, upgraded Neo Tazer sprite and of course the wonderful NostOS mod, Some Some Moe You Don't Know for the Protectorate ship icon sprite, Gunnar (formerly Flogenos) for the Protectorate ship itself. Chucklefish for base game assets and for this excellent little sandbox game.

@the_silver_bandit this mod only adjust the NostOS intro yeah, other modded into missions won't be affected beyond the built-in support Project Redemption itself has for some modded intro missions

So if we play as another race and have this mod installed, the changes made by this mod do not show up in our alternate race intro mission?

@MegaMato oh lol, fair nuff, I'd certainly suggest giving them a read in any case :P

I figured it was something like that. I haven't actually gotten to the end of your content and I forget to read codices.

@there's a codex entry in Project Redemption that should explain what the Electorate is, the id is unioncodex-codex. Good to hear that you understand it's intentional though heh

One other dumb question. I'm sure it is intentional to say Terrene Electorate instead of Protectorate but can you tell me why?

@MegaMato lmao true

I, too, am strongly obsessive about consistency so I'm totally on board. Although I just realize that that smokey voice in the intro is probably the voice of that penguin in the bar and that is pretty funny.
