Total War Warhamer 2: Gameplay Mods

Description
This mod modifies the automatic resolution system of the game.

In order not to make an eternal explanation, I will only mention what the player must know:

-There are 7 types of combat but I will focus on the ones with bonuses:
Ambush: The attacker has 10% more power.
Fortify Battle: Defender has 5% more power.
Minor Settlements: Defender has 5% more power.
Mayor Settlements: Defender has 10% more power.

-Some bonuses have been modified that, although they are not reflected in the previous table, could have some impact. Bonuses for magic have been increased and the bonus per lord level has been reduced.

-No unit has defined objectives or specific bonuses, (I will not use my 8 vargulf against your pikemen but against your cavalry)

- Bloated Corpse, Explosive Scribble, Explosive Scribble (def) no longer auto-dies on auto-resolve.

-All units need 20% of their units alive to not scatter (auto and battle)

-Improved the impact of turrets in siege battles and also that of siege engines.

-Damage to flying units has been reduced.

-Armies are more likely to survive after a autoresolved by themselves

In general I have tried to make the result as similar as possible to a real battle, I would say that 80 or 85% is. Most of the times that I disagree with the auto resolution, they are usually quite tied battles that offer a lot of fun to the player or in which I have many casualties.
The mod doesn't take into account things like having renowned upgraded units or even individual units, they are grouped by sets so I set average values for each set, there isn't much else.

It is compatible with saved games, it can be uninstalled at any time (except if the save is from an autoresolution) and it will be compatible with any mod that does not modify the autoresolution.

I recommend Pierce's Better Sieges

I don't know if it's more or less accurate Zar's Better Autoresolve - No ambiguity If mine doesn't convince you, try yours.

Remember to take a look at the mods in my game collection, I use them all, but even if I only use a few the game will improve a lot, and it's completely modular.

-Visual collection

@mr.napop I'm sorry but I won't do that, I would have to test and play it to see if what I changed makes sense, I won't update or create more mods for TWW2 but they should continue to work fine.

Hello, saw you made a revised mod for WH3, can you update this with the revised values, for those still playing WH2? Thank you.

How does this mod compare to the one below? Just curious on what you think the other mod didn't do good enough.

@Pimpin Pippin I sincerely believe that the answer to this would far exceed the number of characters that a message allows and would require a lot of testing so that I could give you accurate data, the best thing I can advise you is to try, save a game before making an attack move and start to change parameters and try, (random deaths, unit survival limit, victory kills etc)

Thank you for this great mod, it truly sounds amazing.
If you can please advise, i am trying make a small mod with a simple purpose.
I want to change so that just in auto-resolve the chance for a unit to completely die (wiped out) in a winning army is non-existent (or minimal)?
I am trying to make a mod so that units will always survive (or as close to always as possible) an auto-resolve if their army is victorious in auto-resolve.
Right now in default CA auto-resolve a lot of fun units will almost always be killed by auto-resolve from 100% to 0% health even if the rest of the army is at 100% health and the enemy army is very weak.

@Neil Thanks for sharing your experience

Used this for a week and yeah, it's good at what it sets out to do - which is to produce results more comparable to what a player might aim for. Very successful in that. My only tiny gripe is heroes dying a little bit more frequently when in reality a player would actively withdraw them when in danger.

Very good mod.

@less1630 autoresolver_alliance_wipe_out_loser_strength_of_max_threshold
autoresolver_chase_down_surviver_ratio_multiplier
losing_unit_minimum_strength
unit_minimum_strength
autoresolver_unit_wipe_out_threshold.

My advice is to change all that to 0,1
