Description
The Pennsy class L1s were 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotives built between 1914 and 1919 by the Pennsy's own Juniata Shops as well as Baldwin Locomotive Works and the Lima Locomotive Works. Although the L1s were quite successful, they were outclassed in almost every way by the 2-10-0 "Decapods" which arrived in service only two years after the L1s. Large numbers of the L1s were stored out of service during the Great Depression, only to return to service during World War II. L1 #520, which remained in service until almost the end of steam operations, hauled one of the last steam-powered passenger trains on the PRR: a railfan special between Enola Yard and Northumberland, Pennsylvania. Shortly after that service it was added to the PRR's historic locomotive collection in the Northumberland roundhouse, and followed most of that collection to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania where it remains today a static exhibit. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Hello everyone!

This is the first in a long series of PRR locomotives and rolling stock coming to Rolling Line. I have a lot planned for the coming months that will hopefully fill the lack of Pennsy mods on the Workshop! So stay tuned! I hope you enjoy the L1 as much as I enjoyed making it, I learned a lot from this project and I hope I can continue to use what I learned from this project on future mods.

Cheers! :hearts:

@EngineerArn i do agree with the statment of yours that we do need Pennsy Streamliner K4s, but the Devoloper probably won't get to those since they may have other projects going on
EngineerArn 23 Feb, 2024 @ 8:30pm
pls make streamlined versions of the k4 pls

This is strange, but I think this mod breaks the K4. I'm super new to this game so I don't know how custom files work, but when I'm subscribed to this mod the K4's tender coupling breaks. Unsubscribing from this mod makes the tender work again.
