Description
Well this is some rare gun to find isn't it?

I mean, it's the Besa Machine Gun, which is the British version of the Czechoslovak ZB-53 air-cooled, belt-fed machine gun, AKA TK vz. 37 in the Czechoslovak army.

It's usually mounted on tanks and armored vehicles during WW2, as a replacement for the eavier, water-cooled Vickers machine gun, so it's pretty rare to see a model of it seperately.

And the texture looks bland and flat because the original model doesn't came with textures themselves, but rather just flat colors, so I did the same when making the textures myself, probably will try to retexture them if I can, or maybe someone else would make them.

Model was ported due to a request from a friend though.

Zbrojovka Brno - Original manufacturer of Czechoslovakian ZB-53 machine gun.
The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited - Original manufacturer of Besa machine gun.
paradox - Original creator of the model.
NeoLin - Porting to Source.

Reminder :
Porting models from other websites onto Gmod and SFM workshop isn't straight up stealing models, it's merely just converting the models into what the comparebly old Source Engine can work with and allowing other Gmodders and SFMers to use.
I do not claim the models, nor do I port them for commercial purposes.

I see, well good luck on that.👍

Yeah, it was heavily inspired by The Mist, a horror book which also inspired Silent Hill. Half-Life took the general idea of a military experiment bringing hostile alien animals from another dimension and Silent Hill took the idea of the mist itself (which is why there's a lot more animal-like monsters in Silent Hill 1).

Also, to keep the SFM survival horror oriented I'm thinking of turning some of the areas with soldiers into stealth/puzzle oriented sections, the rest I'll replace the soldiers with monsters. For On A Rail I can probably edit my way around it, I'm thinking I might "replace" the rail cart mechanics with a UI. I might actually have to make a replacement map or two for Residue Processing. Probably will have to make a new map for Nihilanth too.

o damn, well that sounds interesting.
The fact that Half-Life was intended to have some horror elements in it as well, same goes with HL2 during development.
But ultimately it was more about the action rather than horror IMO.

I actually had an idea once for an SFM with the twist that it's footage from an alternate universe where Half-Life 1 was an old school survival horror game. I'm thinking about working on that again. I just need to create the menu and UI and maybe reskin the wall mounted health and HEV chargers into wall mounted item boxes similar to Dino Crisis with health chargers storing health items and HEV chargers storing weapons. The actual animation shouldn't be too hard.

That and maybe find a voice actor who can get just the right amount of shitty. For the AUTHENTIC survival horror experience.

Yeah lol.
Well, Gmod and SFM is open for any kind of models from anywhere else, a place that you can mash them up, and I think that's the beauty of them.

I was going to say the low poly look wouldn't match anything, but now that I think about it OG Resident Evil 2/3 models could work with this.
