Description
"The end is neigh, as they say it. Hell is all but destroyed, and in my desperation to save the last remaining shard of the pyre, I've brought the Boneshaker to a wild land of magic and little, colorful ponies. They're friendly and all, but are they really cut out to be champions of Hell? It's with great reluctance that I recruit them to my cause, but I have no other choice. The Seraph doomed us all when he extinguished the fires of Hell. The pyre must be rekindled, no matter the cost." --Rebel from Heaven's army, in service of the greater good.

The unofficial Equestrian Clan is a fully-functional custom clan available for use with Monster Train. This is a community project, and is neither created by nor supported by ShinyShoe, Good Shepherd Entertainment, or Hasbro.



Features:

*In case you don't have enough ponies, there's a button that gives you more ponies.

With tiny units and a new over-stacking mechanic, the Equestrain clan focuses on piling as many units as possible onto a single floor and using party-wide spells to support them. The more units that you can stack together, the more powerful they can become, and the stronger the magic will be that you have access to.

This clan was designed for use with the DLC content, but does not require it. Please note that features that require the DLC, such as unit synthesis, will be unavailable without it.



Mutators:

Adaptive Foes:
- 50% chance to swap the attack and health of non-boss enemy units when they spawn.

Bubbles:
- All units gain Spell Shield 1.

Bureaucracy:
- All spells without Herd gain Herd 3. Train Stewards reduced in size by 1.

Call the Cavalry:
- Gain three relics from the Equestrian clan, allowing you to gain a powerful pony unit each turn.

Cursed Shops:
- Frenzystone (Multistrike) and Keepstone (Holdover) are removed from shops.

Dendrophilia:
- Start with the Bloomberg relic (All unit drafts start with a Largestone).

Desertion:
- Banner units gain Purge.

Divine Void (DLC required):
- The Seraph will always be the final boss, regardless of pact shards.

Equalizer:
- When you play a spell, Consume and replace each different spell in hand with a copy of the spell played.

Gender Reveal:
- The gender of each unit will be revealed when they enter the train.

Group Hug:
- All units gain Social.

No Frenzystone:
- Frenzystone (Multistrike) is removed from shops.

No Respite:
- An extra wave spawns before minor bosses.

Omnipresence (DLC required):
- The Last Divinity will always be the final boss, regardless of pact shards.

Ready for Anything (DLC required):
- Start with Blank Pages and Shard of Divinity.

Scrapbook
- You can no longer skip for money.

Supply Shortage
- You can't re-roll shop inventories.

Unstable Matter:
- 33% chance that when you play a non-champion unit, it will instantly explode, dealing 50 damage to everyone.

Worth It (DLC required):
- Start with 50 pact shards and self-infused Train Stewards.

You've Got Mail:
- Add a random spell card with Purge from a non-allied clan to your hand each turn.

- Mutators: Desertion, Fallen Champion, Call the Cavalry

Red Tape
- Mutators: Bureaucracy, Group Hug, Come Prepared

Some Divinity (DLC required)
- Mutators: Shardless, Omnipresence

I Just Don't Know What Went Wrong (DLC required)
- Mutators: Worth It, Bubbles, You've Got Mail

Gender Reveal Party
- Mutators: Gender Reveal, Slow and Steady, Wand of Cure Light Wounds

Hoarding
- Mutators: Scrapbook, Two for One, Dendrophilia

One Trick Pony
- Mutators: Want It Need It, Equalizer, No Respite

A Pirate's Life
- Mutators: Cursed Shops, Supply Shortage, Hashtag Blessed

Notes:

Any custom clan is a significant addition to the game. This *will* result in increased loading times. Please be patient, as it can take some time to round up all the little ponies and send them to Hell!

Equestrian mutators have colorful borders to help distinguish them. Mutators are sorted in alphabetical order, while the new expert challenges are added to the end of the list. Expert challenges are unlocked at covenant level 25. Check the patch notes for a full list of changes.

To make the most of the Equestrian card mastery frames, please remember to also install the Custom Clan Helper mod, as that will enable you to master Equestrian cards. If you're having trouble locating the elusive Missing Mare to unlock them, look up her entry in the GitHub source code (linked below) for answers.

If you're playing through Steam, you'll need the 'Mod Loader' mod along with the 'Trainworks' mod for this mod to function. Once you have the Mod Loader installed, in game, there will be a menu added to the main page that allows you to turn your installed mods on/off. If you're not playong on Steam, check the Monster Train Wiki or the Shiny Shoe Discord, for more help.

Tutor: That is the most interesting path imo. The +10/+10 are a bit pushed though. Compared with dark calling for two units for a +5/+5 every other turn usually (unless units die in front of him), this one provides double the value without doing a thing for more than 2 units. All you need to do is not remove starting pony and they buff themselves. It also thins deck in case you redraw them. The good thing with this path is going for draw relic is not good idea. I like how it plays with Guardian and Tavern Ace though.

Psychosis: Ye too strong. Something like 'a forgotten name' from stygian with a bit of tweaks would be more balanced imo.

Nightmare: That is just broken. Is like little icarus on steroids and easy mode especially if you start with common ponies in the beginning.

Lucid: 80/100 at 3rd upgrade and +3 ember resolve. Again, compared with cultivating sentient it provides 3 boss relics instead of 1, has a total of 180 stats while sentient is 160 and a worse ability overall that hoses sap seraph vs the revenge one which is way better in general.
The attack could probably be tuned down a bit.

Coach: The endless is ok, very situational but can save gold for imps tombs. Quick is also ok sort of like wyldenten. Trample can be busted though especially combined with a sweeper while trample cascading. She is on wyldenten level for 1 space.

Thanks a lot for the mod I enjoy it a lot, after having played the normal game to no end!
I like the art style direction although I have no clue about MLP and its lore.
I also find some of the mechanics and interactions within the clan interesting and fun to play with. In case you ever patch it I would like to provide some positive feedback for future thought. Although the cards and artifacts are fine, I think the champions are pushed to broken levels :

Teacher: 25/50/100 for one space champion that also heals itself with 2 relevant abilities is too much. The stats don't align well compared with other 1 space champions. A 15/30/60 or a 10/20/40 and +1 every time she gets healed would be a better option imo.

The amount of effort and skill put into this mod is ASTONISHING! You've done amazing work with the clan and all the bonus content, if I were to say anything negative about this mod it would be that it serves as an example of exactly how much could have been added to this game given enough time, effort and motivation. Thank you!
