What is it?
The Alkurah System is intended as an alternative to the vanilla starsystem.
It's not a full scenario with an actual story, but rather something flexible that
can be whatever you want. You can install whatever mods you like and
change all of the world settings.

The main difference to the vanilla starsystem is of course that instead of the
vanilla planets this world uses modded planets that I made over the past two
years.

Additionally, the spawn ships have been changed and many economy stations
custom placed to ensure a somewhat decent distribution. There are six different
custom economy factions plus the space pirates.

This world already has a couple of mods installed. However, only the Alkurah modpack
is necessary for the world to function. You can remove everything else and add
whatever mod you like. You don't have to subscribe to these mods, they will be downloaded
automatically.

Pre-installed mods:
-Alkurah modpack (necessary, do not remove)
-The sun is not yellow (visual)
-Water mod (used for Teal and Teralis)
-Text HUD API (required for water mod)
-Modular Encounters System (Framework mod for those below)
-Wasteland Encounters V2 Continued (spawns abandoned shipwrecks)
-Abandoned Settlements (spawns abandoned outposts)
Getting started
I assume that everyone who is playing on the world has probably played through the early game grind with all the hand drilling quite a few times, so in this world I changed things up a little bit.

In principle, you can spawn on every planet and moon except tohil (atmosphere is too thin for parachutes).
I recommend starting on Trelan, Teal and Satreus are also good alternatives.

When you start on one of these, you will spawn in a crashed ship with no thrusters. Thankfully, atleast you have a parachute that automatically deploys. Since the ship has no working assembler or refinery, you main objective will be to either repair the ship by refining ore in the survival kit, or to salvage the ship and turn the components into a small ship or a station.

You can also find a couple of components, some weapons, bottles and a datapad with gps locations to all planets and a few economy stations. The ship has a working O2/H2 generator, you will need to put your bottles in there to fill up suit hydrogen, as the survival kit is not connected to it. The ship is running on batteries, so I would advise to setup a wind turbine somewhat early on.

The ores on the planets in the Alkurah system are not distributed equally. In order to encourage players to go to different planets, certain ores will be missing on certain planets and you need to go to other planets to find them. To figure out where you can find what, look in the planets section.

Because the planets are slightly further apart from each other, I doubled the jump drive distance to 4000 km.
The planets
Luma | Planet
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2286318683
The big gas giant in the center of the system. The surface doesn't provide any ores,
only ice. You can find a bunch of stations hovering about a kilometer above the
surface though. Starting here is basically like an escape room, I wouldn't really recommend it.
The gravitational field reaches to about half way through the rings.

Teralis | Moon of Luma
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2195637331
A city encompassing an entire moon. Uses the water mod, but works just as well without it.
You can find all ores here, but they are well hidden in the cracks between the buildings and
are all underwater.

Tohil | Moon of Luma
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2296726670
The moon is fairly similar to the vanilla moon Europa, but there are a few differences. The gravity is significantly higher at 0.33 g, the atmosphere a lot thinner (atmo 28% eff., ion 60% eff.). Generally starting on this moon is pretty hard, because there is zero stone anywhere near the surface (you have to dig 500m down). So you will have to go scouting for all ores with your jetpack. The ore veins all contain only one type of ore, you can find everything except uranium and platinum. The ore veins are about the same density as on the vanilla moon, but randomly distributed.

Qun | Moon of Luma
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2459246911
Qun is a common rock moon that is heavily based on the Saturn moon Mimas. You can find a lot of platinum on the moon, especially in the giant crater. You can also start here, it's not gonna be easy though, Qun has almost no ice below the surface, no atmosphere and no uranium for your reactors.

Kimi | Moon of Luma
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2459246911
Kimi is a caught iron-nickel asteroid that is now orbiting Luma. It's very small at just 2 km diamater and far too small to be rounded of by its own gravity. Infact the gravity is only 0.05 g and only noticeable close to the surface. Kimi contains vast amounts of iron and nickel and plenty of uranium. However, it lacks a lot of other ores, including stone. There is no atmosphere for wind power and solar panels barely work due to the strong radiation.

Teal | Planet
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2644430625
Teal is a calm and tranquil planet that is dominated by its large ocean, covering most of the surface. Both poles of the planet are covered by thick ice shields that stretch to about 65° north and 55° south from the equator. Teal has all ores except for platinum and uranium and is especially rick in gold. Ice can be harvested either from the poles or from the oceans.

Trelan | Moon of Teal
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2636128625
Every quarry contains magnesium-, iron- and cobalt ore. Ice can only be found underground, but it is plenty and below about 20% of the surface. Magnesium only spawns in quarries. Silver is pretty common, but you'll have to look for it on the surface. The temperature is cozy, but the weather can sometimes turn it cold or hot. There are light thunderstorms, but I've never seen them damage anything with lightning. Gold, Uranium and Platinum don't spawn on this planet. You can find plenty of gold on its parent planet Teal.

Satreus | Planet
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2266665708
There are no lakes, but you can find plenty of ice on the poles and some under the red flats. Gold is significantly more common near the equator, platinum can only be found there. The easiest way to spot spice err.. ore veins is to look for the white spots on the sand. The green plateaus have the nicest weather.
Troubleshoot
If you're having trouble with people joining in multiplayer, that is a bug that seems to be caused by the could on the gas giant. I can't fix the problem sadly and if Keen doesn't, you can only remove the planet.
The city moon Teralis might also cause some issues, especially for people with lower end pcs. It's totally optional and you can delete it with admin tools if you want to.
