[S12] Simple Nuclear Attack Submarine

Description
A Fully functioning, Easy use, FPS Friendly nuclear attack submarine

Designed to be easily used by a single person, No running around to try and find out how to make the ship work. Simply hop in the helm and get going.

More updates to come

Please inform me of any bugs or any issues in the comments. I did a bunch of testing but I cant predict how others will treat this boat. If something operates as it shouldn't or it operates poorly, please tell me and I will do my best to fix it.

Max speed surfaced: 25 Knots
Max speed submerged: 66 Knots
Range: Yes

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Enter the submarine and sit at the main helm

2. Flip the keys "Enable Reactor" and "Information Displays"

3. Wait 1 minute or so for the reactor to spool up

4. Use the "Electric Throttle" lever to control forward speed
(Reverse button inverts the throttle signal)

5. Be sure the battery is not draining fast by looking at the dial on the bottom right
(If it is draining, the reactor has not fully spooled up yet)

-The first screen acts as a sonar and map. You can use this for navigation. You can also toggle the periscope with a button on the top. The periscope needs to be up to use the radar behind the Helm. Periscope depth is 10M.

-The rest of the controls should be pretty self explanatory

DIVING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. To dive, press the two "Fill Ballast" arrow buttons on the left of the console.
The pumps will auto fill the tanks and stop automatically once the correct ballast is reached. No need to worry about ballast past this point. It is automated. Simply press the buttons and forget them until you want to empty the ballast.

2. Enter your desired depth (in Meters) in the "Desired Depth" keypad to the right. Start with 10m (Periscope depth) and press the "Depth Control" button to have the boat dive to the set depth once the ballast is full.
(The boat will only dive from the surface at a low speed, have the electric throttle between 35-20% for the ship to smoothly dive. Once below water, it will surface or dive at any speed)

TORPEDO INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select a torpedo number with the keypad on the top right of the helm (1 or 2)
2. Select the target on the sonar screen (Red Blips)
3. Open torpedo doors by pressing "Open Torpedo Doors"
4. Fire torpedo by pressing the "Fire Torpedo"
5. To fire the second torpedo, Input number 2 on the keypad and re-select the target on screen, then the fire torpedo button again to fire.

Threat Detection System

An experimental MC that displays warnings based on threats found in the environment near the boat.
It detects Megalodons, Krakens, Sharks, Players, Whales and certain Workshop weapons.
It can return false positives as it finds objects based on their mass. Its not a 100% accurate system and its not recommended to 100% rely on it. The only sure detections are Megalodons, Krakens, Sharks, Players, and Whales.

Warning meanings:
MISS: Possible Missile Detected
TORP: Possible Torpedo Detected
MEGA: Megalodon Detected
SHRK: Shark Detected
RADI: Radiation Detected
HUMA: Player or NPC Detected
WHLE: Whale Detected
KRAK: Kraken Detected

This is the final version and will not be updated anymore due to me being unavailable indefinitely
As of game version 1.4.14, everything should be operating normally. If the developers decide to make any changes with how some game mechanics work, or fix some certain exploits, then this craft will not be updated.

@Otokonoko

Yeah it has some weak pump, try to be shallow for that.

i like this but the water took 3 hours to drain in the airlock

@darthflinstone Id love to, but there isnt much space to put them as of now. I would have to redesign the submarine or carry the extra torpedoes on the exterior. A complete redesign might be in the future.

hi mr vonel, is there a way you can add a manual torpedo loading thing so we can reload?

@sinewystatue382 The keepers are the little propellers on the sides in the back. They are kind of there for decoration. Some russian submarines had them. You can ignore them if you want.
