Subaru WRX S4 Gen.2

WRX is a four-wheel drive sports sedan manufactured and sold by SUBARU (formerly Fuji Heavy Industries) since 2014.

The WRX series originates from the Impreza WRX, which was created for the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 1992.
The name "WRX" means "World Rally eXperimental".

The name WRX is the grade name originally given to the sports version of the Impreza.
Due to a minor change of the 3rd generation Impreza, the name of the Impreza was removed and it was changed to a single car name "Subaru WRX STI".

The SPT also features a tuned 8-speed paddle shift (8-speed manual mode on the Japanese WRX S4) and sports shift controls for faster shift changes and blipping downshifts.

In addition to the introduction of the Subaru Global Platform, the body and chassis have been made highly rigid by using a full inner frame structure and structural adhesives.
By optimizing the suspension geometry to match the high rigidity of the body, the practical stroke has been extended, and a two-pinion electric power steering system with the motor assist axis and the driver's steering operation axis as separate axes has also been adopted.
Some grades are also equipped with a drive mode select, and the damper is an electronically controlled type that variably controls the damping force according to the road surface and vehicle conditions.

The new common design philosophy "BORDER" has been adapted to match the WRX character, the front face has a three-dimensional and deeply carved shape starting from the hexagon grille, the bumper emphasizes wide and low, and the fender has a strong overhang. rice field.
Character lines are arranged on the side, and a sports side garnish is attached. The rear bumper has a shape reminiscent of a racing car.

The "EyeSight" equipped on the first WRX S4 with Japanese specifications is a new generation type that expands the collision avoidance support area by brake assist by widening the angle of the stereo camera and improving the performance of image recognition software and control software, and it is a US specification.
