WW1 Battle of Somme

Beattle of Somme it was the largest battle in the First World War, which took place from June 24th to November 18th, 1916. In order to break through the German defense and push it back to the French-German border, the British and French allied forces fought in the Somme region in the north of France. There were 1.3 million casualties on both sides, which was the worst positional battle in World War I, and it was called "Somme Hell" because of its cruelty.
