This series was built in Leningrad (31 houses), Rybinsk (2 houses) and, possibly, other cities of the RSFSR. The shape of the building in plan is a long rectangle (the so-called «house-plate»). The outer walls are made of unplastered gray bricks, the width of the masonry is 2 bricks. The front masonry is single-row or three-row, without bandaging of external seams. Ceilings — round-hollow flooring. The building provides for central water-electricity-heat-gas supply, water disposal, fire hydrants are installed. Drains are internal. Ventilation is forced-air and exhaust. It is mentioned that the building structures of this series are not highly reliable.


The most common version of the building for 156 flats with windows of different heights. The building with showcases and shops on the ground floor does not have loggias, but has balconies at the ends. The draft version of the building with 11 flats per floor (132 flats per building) was not implemented. Other projects have 13 flats per floor — two 3-room flats at the ends, with a loggia and a passage room, four 2-room flats from the front facade and seven 1-room flats from the back facade. In the center of the floor there is a hall with elevators and garbage chutes. From here, corridors diverge in both directions, connecting all the flats and stair blocks located closer to the ends. Thus, the building is one-section, although it has three separate entrances. These days, the side doors that lead to the stairs are often deliberately locked, and entry and exit is carried out only through the ground floor elevator block, controlled by the concierge.
