Brad Ostlund is a former amateur wrestler who has medaled for the American national wrestling team. After accomplishing all he could in the sport, he had the opportunity to fight in the cage in Mixed Martial Arts or become a professional wrestler. He picked the latter option and made the surprising choice to start out in Europe to make a name for himself. His amateur credentials provided a good base and he quickly developed into an excellent technical wrestler and a master of throwing suplexes. This, alongside his menacing look, helped make up for his lack of charisma and helped make him into a major foreign heel in the independent circuit.

After his European tour, Brad returned to the USA, bringing what he learned back to his home country, aiming to become a menace on two continents.
